There is a reason why this game is the highest-rated game of all time and not just a standard FPS game: it has good and immersive story, as well as various innovative gameplay mechanics, especially the anti-gravity gun to solve various puzzles. I also liked the vehicle sections.
I hope that the new game Half Life: Alyx will take full advantage of VR to introduce new interesting and fun gameplay like most Half Life games.

Nice adventure game with great story, graphics, music, and game design, even though there are some moments of difficulty and frustation. I first played its sequel LBA2 and I think it is much easier, so I probably recommend to play the sequel first.

The enhanced version has some nice additions, like higher resolution, zooming the screen, hints, but the controls were redesigned for touch controls on tablets and don't work well with mouse and keyboard on PC imo. Unfortunately they didn't keep keyboard controls. It would have been better if the porters could have put back the old controls.

But fortunately, you also get access to the original DOS game emulated in DOSBox, where the controls are better but then you get problems that the enhanced version fixed like the removal of the wall hit damage. On the Internet you can find "LbaWin", which is a Windows port of the original version with some enhancements like the W key from LBA2 and no more wall damage, and that's how I played the majority of the game, but then there were problems with the music.

Good game with great puzzles with various mechanics like portals (of course!), reflection cubes to reflect lasers, the jump and speed gels that you can place yourself when they fall through portals, and more, which I really like.

Not only is the game longer than the first Portal game, but there is also a level editor to create your own levels as well as play levels from other players.

For only less than 2 euros during the famous Steam Sales, it's really worth the wait!

A very good 3D platformer with interesting characters and optional collectables.

I mostly played the sequel Battles, which I enjoyed as a kid, but once I added money to Steam I instantly bought the first WK for only 99 cents!
WK is a 3D RTS game a bit like Age of Empires and Warcraft. One notable thing is that there is only one race (humans). All players begin the same, but then you can choose a path between pagan, renaissance/technology and imperial. Also there is a more realistic and simple economic system with carts tranporting resources from village to village...
The cool thing is that compared to the sequel there is a campaign with a true story, cinematics and dialogues. There are 21 levels. Certain are short and easy, others are long and difficult. Having previously played Battles quite a lot, I finished all missions in about 30-45 hours.
For people who haven't played both Warrior Kings and Warrior Kings Battles and who hesitate which one to buy, I would recommend Battles because it has less bugs, more unit types, an interactive tutorial (making the game easier to learn) and importantly a skirmish mode with AIs which the first WK does not have. It is also more popular and is preferred for multiplayer battles. But the first WK is still worth.
