A story comprised of many aura-farming moments, excelling by virtue of Rean Schwarzer alone... but ultimately about the perils Falcom will go to to make a weird, problematic relationship justifiable in a world where the siblings-but-not-really romance has already played out.

This game is basically about my life... except, instead of the talking dead knight companion, I'm all alone and the destroyed world in ruins with people attacking you is just Britain

A truly touching, emotionally complex tale that strikes true to life. The gameplay is enjoyable enough, but the narrative (and the music to go along with it!) is what this makes the game shine.

Easy recommend if you're a fan of strong storytelling.

It's a game that'll make you lose your faith in humanity, as you tirelessly seek to make friends in this cruel, heartless land full of Eastern Europeans arriving from a distant land called Tarkov to seek their fortune... and kill doing it.

But, on those rare, extraordinary moments... where you find an ally amidst the darkness, a 'don't shoot!' piercing through the snow like a divine light.... they'll probably still shoot you in the head the moment you turn your back. BUT... But, when they don't? You'll find true friendship. Fleeting, but true. Together, you'll fight through hordes of scum to reach salvation. Together.

And, after it's all said and done, you'll say your farewells and leave for good, to fight another day, with the possibility of a friendly face acting as an enduring ember of hope while you battle an endless cycle of disappointment, despair, and death.

Or something like that. Great game.

Science has long pondered how to accelerate time itself to new horizons.

Europa Universalis 5 is the technological answer to this quandary.

Behold, as five minutes according to one's own perception, when spent playing this "game", results in over two hours in reality.

I can only recommend EU5's creators to receive a Nobel Prize for managing to increase the passage of time by over 2000%.

Finally finished this one after hearing, for literally years, from certain subsets of Falcom's community about how it's utter tripe -- as one of most recent reviews calls it, "Falcom's Newest Low". It put me off the game for quite a while, and I'm annoyed, yet also very glad, to say they were wrong.

Daybreak II is a filler game. Yes, it's true, the overall 'grand' plot of the series hardly develops. Within this experience, however, the excellent cast of the Arkride Solutions Office (and friends) get ample chance to be further developed, to have meaningful and touching interactions, to get a chance to shine and have their moment in a manner that wasn't present in Daybreak I. For that alone, it's worthwhile.

Even beyond that horizon, though, the story being told is -- whilst, at times, repetitive -- decently strong, with some excellent high points that kept me engaged throughout. Even where there were lulls in the narrative, the interactions between the characters kept things entertaining, and impactful moments were scattered throughout.

Fans of this series know that Falcom's worst efforts within it are still far from 'bad'. Is this their lowest point? No, that was Cold Steel II and IV. It is, however, a step-down from Daybreak 1's stronger narrative. I suppose that's only natural when this game was designed as a 'filler' entry from the get-go, but it was still a very enjoyable time and I'm eagerly awaiting the next entry.

8.5/10.

Quite possibly one of the best games ever made, and it's not even finished yet. Toby and the team behind Deltarune do nothing but surpass expectations, even with years of build-up in between each part.

It's Oblivion, but just as beautiful and wondrous as you remembered it being when you were 12 and it was your first open-world RPG. What more could you want?

Highly recommend using ReShade to remove the brown filter -- it takes away a bit of the atmosphere without.

This game begins 30 hours in, after one of the most incredible 'prologues' you'll play in your life -- if you're a fan of Uchikoshi or Kodaka's works.

Personally, I was obsessed with Danganonpa as a teenager. I'd thought I'd grown out of it, and Kodaka's style of writing as a result, but this is on another level to that series. And it even manages something almost all VN-Game hybrids do not: it's actually fun to play!

I recommend this more than any other game that's come out in the last couple years. It's a unique, creative masterpiece, that we'll likely never see anything like again. Especially if TooKyo Games go bankrupt after going into debt to make something this crazy.

10/10.
