Its a mess in many ways, way too expensive for what it is considering i've played fan made modpacks for free (other games) that has been way more polished...

Fun tho for what it is.

Annoying in so, SO many ways. Bad UI, annoying keybinds that belong in the 1800's (+ points for immersion), Bad use of information, overall clunky feeling, nothing is really intuitive and things go to ♥♥♥♥ way too easily just because of the way the game is structured.
- If you dont have patience, dont even think about this game. Pick up something soothing like Darksouls.

On the plus side: Nice graphics, coazy feeling, eyecandy...
Thats about it.

Ive played many 4x games, RTS, hectic base builders, Eu4 with all dlc's and a massive empire, X-series...
Nothing has annoyed me to this end as this game has. There is no time to sit down and just plan things out because you'll always be missing things.
You need to put down 15 billion warehouses and the ai is too stupid to loadbalance them.
Pressed Spacebar in the middle of a crisis because you wanted to pause/focus on town hall/ go to the event etc like the myriad of other games?! FOOL! You should know it forces you to look at a slow and annoying animation you cant do anything about... Twice.

Why do i then recommend the game?
I dont know, it seems fun... but holy hell is it annoying!

Really fun game! Limited possibilities and even the best defences can be easily overwhelmed at even the highest research and best units. Some proper difficulty fixing is in order.

Great game. A bit wonky, the controls are pretty ♥♥♥♥, UI is terrible and the inventory/use system is so bad it almost made me quit out of pure frustration quite a few times. BUT, it has a great feel to it once all that stuff is out of the way.

The devs are focusing on the wrong things imo, like not allowing for non-permadeath runs over fixing actual problems with the game (listed above). I think a different take on UI design would breathe a completely new life into this game.

An incredibly fun game that combines the classics of motherlode with a gorgeous pixel based physics engine and an incredibly diverse wand tinkering base that would put Sacred's spell building to shame.

If you like a hardcore 1 life roguelike with almost endless replayability, this is the game for you!

Really fun and immersive game with great visuals and fun mechanics. Despite my 30 hours i havent reached close to end game and i have a lot of content left to explore.

As its an early access game im a bit worried about its future. If the devs keep on working on it and adding more content in the future, maybe even DLC's (which id gladly buy for €10-15), and dont just abandone the game this may very well become one of my all time favourites.

Having bought other finished games this year that really left me with a bitter aftertaste (Starfield, Sea of Thieves etc) its refreshing to see a small studio really do such a good job with this title.

What would i like to see?

*Better performance, my 4070 doesnt even ramp up but i still encounter strange lagg and stutter in certain areas. Still okay for a recently Early Access released title.
*More areas to explore.
* Water
* Some better targeting system.
* More NPC's (I get that the story doesnt really allow for such things but id love to see an area where there are survivors). - Fixed with latest update

TLDR: Good stable game well worth its price, if you like Valheim: You'll most likely like this one as well!

Update after latest game update:
Still Amazing game, love the new areas and the new systems in place.
Last boss is crazy and needs fixing tho.

Really fun game with a lot of things to do. Would like some less random behaviour such as hit rates but can be mended with mods.

A well trained shooter missing a hulk 3 meters away is just stupid.

Great app with smart functions to avoid CPU and GPU bloat when other processes need the hardware more.
Can run this and Starfield maxed on a 78003DX, 32GB of 6k DDR5 ram and a GTX 4070.

Refuses to stay shut down, starts back up several times per day despite removing any logical restriction such as crash prevention etc.

Can not recommend as it doesnt listen to master input and behaves more like malware than anything else.

I've had easier times with shutting down literal viruses.
