Good graphics, great gameplay when you get a decent squad together. Makes you feel alive again.

Update 3/2025: I had to convert my iRacing account from a Steam based one to an iRacing.com only one. You cannot send iRacing dollars to other drivers if you are a Steam based account and my problems below with in game time + the Steam download broke when I downloaded a newly purchased car about a year ago and would always say "update required". iRacing Support was super nice and quickly converted my account and supplied very detailed instructions on how to properly remove the iRacing service and reinstall.
You will keep all of your history, purchases and achievements.

If you're a serious racing simmer with decently sized pockets, this game is for you.

I am a big fan of simulators and iRacing is no exception. The graphics are quality but not stunning, I wish for a bit more detail but its not potato quality.

One of the largest downsides is having to deal with other racers in the Rookie class until you get your safety rating up. The game is frustrating at best when you wait 20 minutes for your chosen race just to get dumped in turn 1 on the first lap... Great.

The second biggest downside is that Steam doesn't seem to recognize the game running properly and 'closes' iRacing immediately so none of my hours are tracked. Steam says I have ~20 minutes, iRacing says I have 24 hours. Account setup was also not perfect when using the Steam version as you have to make an iRacing account, then link to Steam. From there all of your purchases are controlled and bought via Steam and you have no chance to change that after account creation. Choose wisely.

Very fun, arcade style practice tools are excellent, session mode is awesome and keeps up pretty well with jams.
