As an engine it has some potential if optimized better in future updates, but I don't really see the scene system as a proper replacement for the entity system either. I feel like both could co-exist. The best way to describe this engine is by saying it's "Source-less 2," in a way due to it removing features from Source 2 for some Unity-like scene system when an entity system could exist as well. I'm not really that interested in it, but I hope someone else likes this as yeah, this is not really my cup of tea.
