Nonstop spam of gold enemies who completely overpower you. limited resources, the side quests dont help much, the AI doesn't ever run out of gold, and constantly spam you with units. it feels like a slug fest pretty well each campaign. some very fun campaigns but feels like the same formula with many obstacles that doesn't feel rewarding in alot of these campaigns.

beyond dreadful. wanted to check this out for nostalgia.
-have to pay for any furniture, with a tiny player base so little to no luck for games for free furniture through games.
-tiny player base
-mostly people AFK'ing fishing (i'll just play runescape if i wanted to do this)
-brutal UI that seems to be cut off in the XL launcher
-tiny involvement from Sulake

What were they thinking?

really enjoyable when you're in lower ranks playing against other casual players, but the more you win the harder the lobbies are and the skill gap is crazy and you'll get flamed for it. Would only recommend for the first 10 hours or so.

absolutely would not recommend this. i get that these campaigns are polished, voice-acted, and from a respected creator, but so many of these campaigns are unbelievably long, punishing, and complex for no reason. I can appreciate the creativity and wanting to try something different, but i don't think these campaigns are at all worth the 18 CAD. I would recommend the other DLC's much more than this. There are also some bugs i've noticed, and the campaigns feel like the AI are way worse than the other campaigns, doing weird stuff. an ambitious, but very disappointing DLC. having many of these campaigns already on the workshop and for free really feels like a slap in the face too.

Loved this game. Even after beating the main story, I had so much fun exploring the vast open world.

Pros:
-Massive map, with a very careful design of each area. I really felt that each little section in both downtown and Villedor were creative and had a unique flare to them. It is a great size and never felt overwhelming or that I have seen one spot before multiple times.
-Engaging story. I know that some people have had issues with the choices not meaning much, but I think this is a good idea, as you're not sure what part will really make a serious impact on the story or your ending. I feel the story is a lot better than the first Dying Light. (Keep in mind I sided with the PKs). Even the side stories were pretty interesting. I guess some are repetitive but the content and dialogue is good enough that I was fine with it.
-The gear, consumables, artifact hunting, weapons, weapon mods, and lack of guns really make this game fun to use. I loved getting new weapons and modding them. The designs of the gear and weapons are fantastic, and the physics are top notch.
-Fun post game. You can complete all the quests you haven't done, scavenge for inhibitors, or just roam around the area.
-The paraglider. An awesome feature replacing the popular grappling hook. The upgrades are balanced and compliment the paraglider super well.
-The perk system is fantastic. Not much more to say here. Maybe a little less exciting than Dying Light 1, but still quite good
-Smashing zombies is incredibly satisfying

Cons:
-Being so focused on looking for scraps. This was beyond frustrating as mostly all weapons, mods, accessories, and upgrades needs scraps. I've never had to search shops, garbages, and zombies so much for scraps. This was terrible. Plus, you cannot upgrade the search speed. A tip is to buy items at the store or loot weapons and dismantle them for scraps.
-Lockpicking. Boring, generic concept which was insanely repetitive again. The force lock is great, but the upgrading is a pain to get to that point because of the Uncommon trophy hunting
-You need uncommon trophies for all upgrades. Again, this is so slow to get and from what i know, there is little ways to farm these things. This is a HUGE pain in the ass and makes for a massive, grind. You have to do this as well in order to upgrade your items/accessories. I wish there were other ways to get uncommon trophies, as well as scraps.
-The voice acting is pretty bad for Aiden lmao. I don't know if I was the only one who felt like that. Goofy guy. A small thing but worth mentioning.
-The price (?) This is subjective, but I felt that $80 was a lot for this game. Obviously the price is fluid so just get it on sale. It'll probably lower as time goes on anyways.
-Finally, it starts off pretty damn slow. The stamina is BRUTAL and it took me awhile to find the motivation to want to keep going, especially after playing Dying Light 1 a year ago where the stamina was a little different. It can be pretty frustrating.

Overall, I totally recommend this game. I played it solo but would imagine it would be excellent with a friend. Hope this helps!

I'm personally a huge fan of the game. It's casual, unique, and has a decent player base. This is a perfect game for a group of friends, and they're constantly updating/changing Rogue's and the maps to keep it fresh. Would highly recommend.

Would only recommend this game to returning CA players. Really enjoying the nostalgia factor, especially quarentine Regen. Don't worry about the small player base- you can still usually find a server for what you're looking for (elimination, quarentine, one man army, etc.)

For new players to this game, I would not recommend this game. It is clunky, unforgiving, very awkward gun handling (recoil, portability), and can be laggy. I think there are other free options that would be much more suitable who are looking for an FPS. However, if you are going to give it a try, I would play the Quarentine Regen game mode.

Not feeling this one lmao. A tutorial or some idea of what you're supposed to do would be great. Looks promising but really hard to get into casually with friends

There are some gems on steam- and Dying Light is one of them for its enjoyable parkour gameplay, simple crafting, and looting features. The story was OK, ending was lame as hell. Fun with friends. You could spend hours running around Harran and completing quarentine missions, unlocking safe zones, or helping randoms. The skills you work towards are all fun to play around with, ranging from killing zombies creatively or abilities to help your parkour. Fantastic game!
