System Shock 2... it's great for having many options and survival horror scifi aspects... but I'm stuck now. Time to look up a guide.
Fab~ 9 Jan, 2015 @ 6:33pm
Ace. You owe me a toaster :C
LeonButLazyAndOnPC 26 Nov, 2013 @ 3:18pm
no. Next you must 100% Skyrim!
Ace Wolf 26 Nov, 2013 @ 1:28pm
OK. I finished Mass Effect 3. What's next? How about Bioshock Infinite?

I am NemesisLeon and I approve this message. Don't forget that Unreal was the first to allow the COMBINING of mods via mutators. More modern games need to allow total customizability and modability.

Id Software deserves their success not only because of their programming skills, but also for two aspects of their business plan. First, they gave away the first of four units of the game. The free version provided so much entertainment, players had reason to buy the game for the final three units. Second, ID opened its programming so that anyone could make new modifications and add to the game, change it, revise it, and build its capabilities far beyond any of the original programmers' vision. The brilliant approach that Id took ensured decades of revenue to enjoy the modifications that the open community developed. The modifications make the game endlessly compelling, and not a simply joy ride to be beaten and tossed aside.

It's difficult for me to understand how anyone could ever carry the satisfaction from the game into the real world. Perhaps some people have obsessive personalities, and once they find a hook on which to hang their neurosis, they pursue it as it ricochets into a fervor. Certainly we can find fanatics who take anything to extremes whether they stockpile fertilizer, collect a house full of cats, or eat four helpings at every meal.

If pressed, I could stop playing Quake’s progeny of first person shooters, but I harbor little guilt in enjoying a game that exercises my adrenaline and allows me to appreciate the technical limits of my computer. A two second lead and fifty percent improvement in frame refresh rates completely justifies spending five hundred dollars on a computer upgrade if it allows me to kill my opponents more effectively.

I remember my horror when I first saw Quake's ancient predecessor, Doom. The thought of pursuing euphoria from killing hundreds of people, poorly drawn as they were, appalled me. I downloaded the game a few months later over the summer and progressed through the levels, outwitting and outgunning the computer-generated soldiers and monsters. When Quake debuted, I played for hours, appreciating its increased realism, seeking the best ways to tweak my computer and find the best performance. The transition from puritan disgust to the prurient dismemberment came swiftly for me.

Just what is so fun about pretending to kill people while carrying a little flag around?

The Quake series by Id Software represents the seminal achievement of modern technology to provide uninterrupted years of thrilling entertainment. Defeating another person via internet ultimately satisfies a primal craving something on the level of sex or satiated hunger. Quake and its progeny of first person shooters are my greatest weakness. Offering no redeeming value, playing them provides an outlet that few understand and of which fewer approve.
Ace Wolf 17 Nov, 2013 @ 9:14am
Yeah, Quake was pretty awesome when it first came out. Some games really are still that awesome, not at all like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1ZtBCpo0eU .

I own Mirror's Edge. Your Free-running is invalid.
Ace Wolf 8 Dec, 2012 @ 10:19am
OK. Tron:Evolution was a lot shoter than I thought it would be. The parkour/freerunning gameplay is a lot like Assassin's Creed III, so it was good preparation. I should be able to finish Assassin's Creed 3 within the year: December 2013.
Ace Wolf 12 Nov, 2012 @ 5:25pm
After killing or turning all dragons, and leader of the Thieves' Guild, Dark Brotherhood Assassins, and Champions, and Thane in all the cities--yeah, I'd say I won.
Fab~ 12 Nov, 2012 @ 2:43pm
Did you win?
Ace Wolf 12 Nov, 2012 @ 2:19pm
I finished SKyrim. It only took a year. Now I'm on to the games that have been on my shelf for a year. Tron:Evolution is first in line.
Ozby 2 Oct, 2012 @ 5:49am

LeonButLazyAndOnPC 3 Jun, 2012 @ 7:53am
I don't mind 'help' since it fills the game out more.
LeonButLazyAndOnPC 2 Jun, 2012 @ 8:52am
I think ThieveryUT would be best for us.
LeonButLazyAndOnPC 2 Jun, 2012 @ 8:51am

You could play The Specialists with me. It takes "realistic" shooting and makes it awesome John Woo style. Also, Kung Fu.

Play UT3 mayne
LeonButLazyAndOnPC 11 Sep, 2011 @ 6:19pm
P.S. reduce the distances between areas in Borderlands
Ace Wolf 6 Sep, 2011 @ 5:36pm
Dear Bethesda, please play Borderlands. It's what Fallout 3 should have been. You're great at fantasy when you do Elder Scrolls, but stay away from sci-fi until you learn how it's done.
Ace Wolf 20 Aug, 2011 @ 8:13pm
Transformers Prime would be a much better cartoon if they killed off the nerd and let Bumblebee talk.
