Been playing this game since before the massive visual updates, when it was still pixelated. I still play it to this date. I have 100+ hours on Steam but likely have thousands of hours in since we're running on a dedicated server off-steam. This is hands-down the most immersive and realistic zombie game and there are countless ways to play it. Play it vanilla, play it with the thousands of available mods, as a stat munchkin or with roleplay, shoot and burn a thousand zombies in Louisville or be a lone farmer in Rosewood. It's all up to you and your preference! The learning curve for interacting with the environment is quite steep, but once you get over it, it's mostly common sense.
