Playing it on 2021

If you want a quick breather from your mindless grind from games that you work for instead of playing it, then this is the game

You just run around and kill a bunch of Barbarians with your manly testosterone protagonist, with a sword.

Gameplay is really enjoyable for an old game, it's a hack and slash, with a bunch of collectibles lying around the levels

The story is really okay for me, but the pacing of it is quite speedrun-ish

All in all, good value for wallet, and good breather to try something fresh outside your daily gaming routine cycle

Playing it at 2021, if you bought this game in 2021 full price, go get a refund.
1st hour of playing it; picked the hardest difficulty (Blackest Friday), zombies two shots me just by exhaling
Few hours of playing; I get random freezes for absolutely no reason, when I reach outside the mall for the story there's bunch of invisible walls and I cant even walk properly

Giving pointers for modernizing the game, cause I cant cope with retro gameplay, but the attempt in doing so really killed of the Dead Rising vibes

My comments on the Blackest Friday difficulty; its just CV giving the middle finger to players during release ranting about how easy the game was. Yes, you can finish the game with this difficulty, but it removes the point of mindlessly killing hordes of zombies, because you can't do that, you have to agro the zombies properly, you have to strategize well in maneuvering around. It's just not Dead Rising.

Graphics are fine, it's modern, I enjoy it, but the game, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it's buggy, even after 3 years(pretty understandable since the company got nuked).

Would I recommend this game to you? No
Do you still want to buy it? I suggest you doing so with a really good bargain discount
Is there gonna be Dead Rising 5? Absolutely not, this franchise is dead
Is the any other way that I should enjoy the DR franchise? Go indulge yourself with its predecessors

It runs very smoothly on the lowest settings if you're using a low-end pc/laptop
The game is very fun, grindy, and it has a very interesting lore

i like the grinding system in the game and how much it has already evolved until today thanks to the developers for making the game even better overtime with new contents and even an event thatsplayers can participate on a limited time
