State of Decay was subtle with its awesomeness. The more you played SoD the more fun it became and the only thing it was missing was co-op. Man o Man, I was looking forward to playing State of Decay 2 with friends and when me and buddy fired it up it felt just like what I had remembered, but this time it was going to be even better sharing the zombie apocalypse with a friend.

Then we got past the tutorial and it became apparent that Undead Labs had committed a major sin with the design of SoD2. In the span of two minutes I went from excited with anticipation for the hours of gaming ahead of me to quitting the game and uninstalling it. When trying to play a game with a friend nothing puts me off and ruins it more than this stupid lazy "feature". In State of Decay 2, when playing co-op you and the other players are tethered together by distance. Like ARK and FarCry, State of Decay 2 now joins the list of unplayable. So sad because its just not at all enjoyable to play.

It's a good time if you're looking for a casual shooter with hints of RPG.

With State of Decay 2 around the corner, I thought it was time to revisit the original. As I clicked to install the game, I realized that I enjoyed the original far more than I give it credit. I remember giving it four solid playthroughs, two because of lost saves(my fault) and two because I just wanted to try something different. Repeat playthroughs is a rare thing for me to do, and I'm about to do it again. SoD is by no means perfect -but bad driving mechanics, at times clunky controls and limited map size don't keep it from being a really fun, personally engaging and unique experience.

What ? Why? ...What? I don't get it. I mean, yea, I get it, they want to abandon development and maintenance yet continue collecting money. But to actually do this to what was one of the most unique and interesting gaming experiences let alone mmo's out there. Such a massive shame. Legends is a grotesque butchering that completely disrespects what once was

CoD, MoH, Battlefield, PUBG ain't got nothing on ARMA 3. Its a Military sim that has just enough of a light touch to keep it from being overly intense or complicated. With all of the content, mods and community support there is an almost endless amount of configuration. Highly recommended from me.

So a guy uses the Arma editor to create a mission. This mission is to spawn in with a parachute while in the sky, reach the ground and then to run around, get guns and make it to the middle of a shrinking area while fighting against other players. Then, because the multiplayer servers in Arma are absolutely saturated with last man standing, winner take all, deathmatch and battle royale game variants this guy publishes the mission to steam as a "mod" in order for it to be easier to find, as is common practice.

This "mod" is then created using the Unreal engine and published on steam as an early access title, exploding in popularity. While PUBG is one of the most recent editions to the shooter scene, that is about all it has going for it. Anyone claiming there is something innovative with PUBG has not been gaming long. Back in the late 90's through the early 2000's, the market was entirely dominated by winner take all/deathmatch genre games. So with PUBG being a copy of a "mod" that was a copy of countless others in a genre that was burned out ten years ago you'd have to have some balls to call PUBG special. PlayerUnkown's (Brendan Greene) had the balls though to call for more "copycat" protection in gaming after other games seem to be taking advantage in the popularity surge of large-scale deathmatch games.

The popularity and admiration for this game has gotten out of hand. It was innocuous before, but has become something different now that the creator is publicly condemning other companies for doing the very thing that put him in his position.

Early Access Review
Early access done right. The Forest has an amazing story and awesome mechanics with some very nice graphics. The content got updated constantly, though by all accounts the has need very little except for some slight polish. The ability to play with your friends is awesome and for me, made for some hilarious moments. well worth the purchase.

CDPR are some classy mofo's. As a person who has been gaming for the past 25 years, I really hope CDPR knows how much people like me appreciate and cherish how they are doing things. They are real, amazing and intelligent artists and engineers. CDPR exempliflies integrity and quality, as is evident in all things bearing their name but most especially Blood and Wine. Like most others have said, Blood and Wine is so rich in quality content it warrants being a whole seperate title. The move of location to the south, Toussaint, is a welcome change from the windy wet north in my opinion, and the vibrant color scheme make for some amazingly beautiful enviroments. Its the perfect way to say goodbye to Geralt. thanks.
