From an artistic point of view, Sekiro is the most distinctive, complete and complete work in the Japanese portfolio. This is even ironic, given that, along with the left hand of the protagonist, FromSoftware “chopped off” a lot of things from the game that have long been considered an integral part of soulsborne: from character customization to multiplayer. The loss of the latter was especially acute for studio fans, because it was he who was largely (thanks to memes) responsible for the unfading popularity of the series. But the paradox is that, having lost a lot of iconic mechanics, Sekiro in no way became a “lesser” game. Everything is quite the opposite: without them, she, like the Wolf himself, found a new life.

By focusing strictly on the single player game, the studio has only given its hands a free hand, both technically and creatively. And therefore, it is possible to complain about “where are my invitees”, but, in my opinion, it is absolutely pointless. Even a little cheeky. Because, moving away from the canons of their own genre, the developers paid even more (although it would seem) attention to its true essence: overcoming severe trials, intrigue and the joy of discovery.

What i like:

- excellent combat system;
- a world full of secrets;
- great visual design;
- fresh setting;
- soulsborne has moved off the ground.

What I didn't like:

- gadgets can not be used as often as i would like;
- naughty camera at times.

There was no revolution in the genre. However, this does not negate the fact that NetherRealm Studios has made a great fighting game that will remain in the hearts of the fans. But in this barrel of honey, there were still a couple of fly in the ointment: a dull cycle of obtaining coveted rare equipment, microtransactions and not so obvious as strange gaps in the plot.

What I like:

- facial animation of the characters makes you empathize;
- atmospheric voice acting, designed in the style of each character;
- the dynamics of the battle and not the highest entry threshold;
- a wide choice of characters: both newcomers and old-timers of the franchise;
- variety of playing styles, as well as many spectacular special moves;
- great esports potential.

What makes me sad:

- microtransactions and boxes: it feels like you are playing free-to-play;
- cut from the game and, judging by the official website, not the last cool character for an additional fee;
- holes in the plot.

Elden Ring is the pinnacle of the evolution of the core ideas of Dark Souls. It is larger, deeper and more diverse than all previous FromSoftware works, but, despite its incredible scale, it has not lost the signature style of the masters of the genre. It is separated from the ideal only by the conservatism of the authors and technical problems that should have been corrected long ago.

What I liked:

- interesting open world;
- high-quality level design;
- many different enemies;
- deep role-playing system.

What upset me:

- fairly empty open world
- few enemies in many places
- not thoughtful multiplayer
- repeated identical bosses and enemies

It's not every year that shooters of this level come out, and Doom Eternal is a real treat for anyone who is even slightly interested in the genre. This is an almost perfect sequel to a game that was already the best in its niche. This is a festival of fun, almost cartoon-like cruelty, where you, both a choreographer and a leading actor, perform the most difficult combat pirouettes to wild heavy metal. You can't miss this.
