Started it with unknown expectations, except knowing it was choice-based narrative game.

To summarize it - I fell in love with the game. Spectacular writing, top selection of performers/actors, wonderful cinematography.

it's really worth a play,, I can't praise it enough. It's a wonderful fit for you especially if you're into a story-rich experiences, which also open up various questions and moral dilemmas.

* Note:
Controls are a bit unfortunate on the PC version, but they don't get in a way with the experience, as the game is (mostly) not fast paced.

Great graphics, great music and as much great story-line. There's basically no thing I dislike about this game!

The words can't describe my feelings about this wonderful game, but I can only highly recommend it.
It's emotionally packed, with thrilling and interesting story, interesting and wonderful characters,... and don't even get me started on music. It's truly a magnificent game which you absolutely fall in love with and leaves you with a lot to think about.

This game is absolutely spectacular. The graphics, audio, gameplay, story, cinematics,... There's no element that would lack quality in this game. Both puzzles and combat are nicely balanced. There are tons of options to customize Lara's clothing, with benefits to certain aspects of the game. The choice of weapons is quite big as well.
This game is also a closure to the story of the released trilogy (TR, RotTR, SotTR), which is quite powerful and emotional in my opinion.
Again, I absolutely love it, and I hope we get to see more titles such as this masterpiece in the future! :)

I tried to to make this review somewhat readable, but it's really tough when there are so many thoughts going through my mind and things to say about this game. I'll also probably update this review when my mind clears up a bit.
Story
Game revolves around heartwarming but at the same time heartbreaking story about two brothers, having their world collapsed in the blink of an eye. The story itself is truly fantastic and what's even more impressive are all the big and little issues shown through that story. Portraying of these issues makes you think about the world and the problems some people are faced with.
Graphics
The game has same artistic style as Life is Strange 1 and DeckNine's Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Overall, this style is even improved with better lightning, quality of the textures,... The game feels like you'd be watching a movie with all the amazing animations, camera work,...
Audio/Music
DontNod again amazed with soundtracks as well as other music used in the game. The music fits amazingly well with everything - story, animations, scenery,... It plays enormous role at driving emotions.
Characters
We get to know two main characters through many ways thought out the game - from diary, messages, chat,... which really helps bond with them. Common complains I've seen is that many of the side characters are not part of the story for long enough to get to know/bond with them, but I see this as part of the journey brothers had to go through - as they only met people for short amount of time, before they had to run again, they never had a chance to get to know somebody really good; except for themselves. And I really like the way DontNod decided to go with this.
Gameplay
In LiS2, choices matter way more than they did in LiS1 - even small ones. This really puts you in the POV of main character (Sean), where even a little choice can have an effect on people around you - like building relationship with your brother. The game also features more than two endings, which depend on both major choices at the end as well as all the smaller choices through out the entire game. Also, the world we see while playing the game is way bigger than in LiS1.

Overall and short: This game is a magnificent masterpiece from all aspects of the game. Highly recommended!

Highly recommended!
As its predecessor it has interesting story, which can be played even without playing Tomb Raider (2013) before (although recommended, as there are some references to it).
ROtTR introduces a lot of new gameplay mechanics, as well as game modes to play after finishing story.
Graphics, sound/music, narrative, visual effects and everything related to game are really polished.
So, if you're fan of story-rich, adventure, action, puzzles... games, this gem is for you!

This is absolutely spectacular game! It is a combination of many genres - adventure, puzzle, action,... Most importantly, it has a astonishing story, amazing characters, not to speak about graphics and music. Alongside story, there are a lot of collectables, which contribute to the story understanding or help you learn more about surroundings. I didn't even finish the game and I already had a lust to replay it to experience it all over again. It's truly amazing and I highly recommend it!

In short, this is the game well worth your time! Really recommended!

<3 I'd replay it. Thanks to Will for amazing game!

*Edit: a review above was written back in 2016, now I'm here to update and expand it.

I originally received this game from a friend (who I can't thank enough!) back in 2016 and I only played to about a middle of the second chapter. Back then, I apparently liked the game very much, but just didn't enjoy slow-pace or style of the game at that time (no idea why and how).
Now, 4 years later, I finally sat down and played through all the episodes and must say, I enjoyed every second of it. I realised a big part of me is actually grateful that I finished it now, after many years, when I'm a bit older and able to understand the story and therefore enjoy it with its full potential.

Simply said, this game is a masterpiece.
It was not made to deliver action and multiplayer experience like most games nowadays do, but it focuses on a crucial element, which is (sadly) often forgotten - story. And this is what I deeply appreciate at games I tend to play nowadays. Although I'm not (or at least was) fan of choice-based games, I must say I'm impressed by this very game. These choices do, if you delve deep enough into story line, keep you thinking about short and long term consequences they'll have and will keep you thinking about them even after you'll finish the game. Besides of just choices, the thematic of them in regards to story, will make you think about morality of some crucial decisions/choices you make.

There are tons of amazing things this game features such as astonishing soundtracks, diverse and authentic characters, unpredictable and emotional narrative curve, visuals,... It's easy to say it's addictive like a book. Once you take it into hand you just can't stop playing it. And at the end it's like all the good stories - you wish it were longer, although it's perfect, just because you enjoyed it so much and relived into it.

Hats off, I can say with ease this is one of the best games I've ever played.
