A beautiful experience just like Journey, with a breathtaking world that will have you using the photo mode every other minute if you're not careful.

A heartfelt game that demonstrates everything that defines indie development as the gold standard. Charming touches like musical score and sound effect tones adapting to footsteps on crystal staircases, paired with colorful character designs and unique boss design with engaging rhythm based combat. The little things are what shows a dev cares about their game as a work of art, like the player character tapping their foot to the beat, or their hand power snapping to the rhythm if held out in idle. Combine all this with the trickle of narrative that keeps you exploring the Metroidvania world looking for answers and you have something really special.

This is a beautiful game. If you love exploring the echoes of a world and people long gone and forgotten, exploring a serene environment crafted with intricate detail and care, and wonderful sound design that accentuates all of these elements at just the right subtle moments, this game is for you. The little things are always what count in games and this one gets it right.

This game is a work of art. A brief experience in an unfamiliar, lonely, yet beautiful world that leaves you aching for more. More answers to the mysteries that drove you to explore every nook and cranny of this cell-shaded wonder. More moments of time with the sparse peoples and travelers other than yourself that make this strange land's desolate, ruined world one of warm curiosity and whispered secrets. More fantastical geographies and ruins that echo a people, a world, an age that came long before the shell you wander now. While smaller in scale, this game gives a certain other AAA open world game with climbing and gliding a major run for its money.

Got this thinking it would just be a quick and silly double-dash racer.

Couldn't stop smiling during each of the campaign races. The tracks are incredibly well made and have some great touhou remixes to match their visuals, drifting feels good. If you're in first a lot you won't see too many special abilities that certain characters can roll, but the racing to eurobeat touhou feels great.

This game is absolutely beautiful, and was some of the most fun I've had playing video games in awhile. It's like playing a Ghibli movie, with a soundtrack by Joe Hisaishi himself and reminiscent character designs. The voice acting is stellar, and the combat and sound design is wonderful. I could spend a paragraph lauding this game, but if you like JRPGs, fantasy storytelling, Studio Ghibli, or all of the above, then you have to play this game. I'll definitely be buying the soundtrack.

When first picking up this game, I was dubious about its potential as just another zombie gimmick. However, after playing the main scenario the game definitely achieves much and more. The voice acting for the game is extensive and overall well done, and moments of excellent dialogue line up the planets for a very gripping narrative. Combat is slow to start, and frustrating until you obtain stronger weapons mid to late game, however eventually becomes satisfying. The co-op feature is a major selling point, a great way to experience the game and its campaign with friends. However, expect rare disconnection issues between you and your host if you're located oddly. Zombie games aren't usually my thing, but I still enjoyed this. 7/10 buy it on sale.

This game has exceptional polish despite its beginnings as a kickstarter. Little things like opening doors, the fluidity of jumps, camera positioning, and banter from background characters all come together to make this game an amazing experience. Heavily inspired by games like Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, Super Mario Sunshine, and Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, if you grew up playing Nintendo collectathons, you will adore this game and its cheeky humor; I loved it.

To review this game would be to go against the message it speaks, to impose through someone else's work a dissection, an analysis, that strips away the meanings the creator intends. I do so more knowingly than I would have before playing this game though, because validation does not motivate me, nor does it consume me, rather expression, for my own benefit and my own therapy, motivates my decisions, and my creativity.

Why do you create? Why do you do anything? My suggestion would be to play this game, maybe twice, and come to your own conclusion, and nobody else's.

This was actually an enjoyable game. For a free and short horror experience, the game's progression serves it well, slowly allowing you to understand more of the story in ways that adds just enough information. The puzzles required thought, and weren't simply die and try again. It's so small and short, if you want a horror experience, it's worth your time.
