Steam caught it right away, I noticed message from Sream 4 hours later, started changing passwords etc. and within 8 hours or so was back online.

However... Steam gave me temp password, but I still needed mobile authenticator and that's what had been turned off in the first place, so it was a bit of a battle to get sorted... but like I said, about 8 hours total.

I know not to click links (in general) but since it was using the Steam Authenticator, I didn't even think about it and just assumed it would be good... oops.

Hi Morokoshi, really sorry for what happened, I hope Steam Support sorts out your situation as soon as possible, they generally do. I fell for the same trick, I wanted to help and they just got into my account, spreading those phishing messages...
It's sad that this is spreading thanks to people being kind, but I understand if confused users just blocked me and moved on (they did the right thing in the end, even if it wasn't me writing).

I am a victim.

The $200 wallet on my account is gone.

Your steam account was a credible one.
I thought I'd be mildly supportive.
But it was the wrong move.

I've reported it to steam support, but apparently it's the one who was duped.
