Fun PVE extraction shooter. Plays well and looks great.

EDIT- After 35 hours, I'm loving this game. Really simple concept, but the variety of builds and approaches you can take with each mission makes it very enjoyable as a strategy game. Very, very fun.

Feels solid, looks great, but beware that performance practically demands DLSS for good frame rate. I'm using a 4080 Super at 1440p and getting 70 real frames // 140 with frame gen.

Truly unique and gorgeously designed game. The writing (so far, about 8 hours in) is very, very good, with natural sounding dialogue (characters TALK OVER EACH OTHER like in real life!) and an intelligent script.

This reminds me of the Netflix Arcane series in its trappings. Very, very highly recommended.

EDIT- Now at over 50 hours in, main game completed and this game is easily best of the year. Very, very sad and moving story. Truly a magnificent game.

Great game, great reboot of the grandfather of FPS games. If you've recently played Eternal or Dark Ages, this one can feel clunky (things like death if you are pushed or fall of a map really suck, infrequent checkpoints, etc) but it's a fantastic game.

Clunky and aggressively un-fun. Leans too hard into survival horror but did so at a time when "spawn an enemy directly behind the player" was the only original idea in that genre.

I have tried to like this game, but the repetitive, boring environments, the unfair enemy spawns along with the damage they do on Veteran difficulty, and the awful gunplay (yes, for an id game the feel is VERY off; the shotgun is among the worst I've used in ANY fps) make this difficult to recommend to anyone outside of a DOOM completionist.

Each of the new Doom trilogy is awesome. They changed up the combat loop in a very satisfying and interesting way. It is easier than the other games, so play on Nightmare if you used to play on Ultra Violence.

Never played the original. This is a great looking game (with a few minor performance issues), doesn't feel dated. Fun story so far.

Very, very difficult to get into. A ton of systems and options, but missing tutorial track to teach the complex DnD rules. Wish I'd saved my money and gotten more of an action RPG instead of this.

Game runs terribly. I have an i9 9900k and a 2080Ti, but cannot get over 40FPS even with medium settings and terrible hitching. I strongly urge you to avoid this PC port of the game until it's either fixed, or deeply discounted, or both. Extremely disappointed.
