War Thunder is very lucky in that it is the only game of its kind at the scale that it exists at. It's pretty clear at this point that any passion that existed for this game has long since gone from the game and now all it is to them is a money printer.
Maps continue to be bad, balance continues to be confounding, community continues to be ignored.
Fewer and fewer actual new vehicles are being added in updates in favour of copying vehicles from other tech trees and calling them 'new'. AI slop is present within the profile images on player cards. Economy decisions make it more profitable to play in a team rather than as a team, as such one-death leaving is better than staying and taking a line-up.
Gaijin is so damn fortunate that there's no-one else who does War Thunder like them and that there are hundreds of thousands of military vehicle nerds, (myself included), that have not got an alternative to go to.
It's frustrating cos underneath all this painful controversy there is the potential for a pretty great game here, but it's consistently squandered by baffling decisions made by those who command the developers and/or possibly even the developers themselves.
Only truly positive thing I can say is that whoever makes their trailers absolutely kills it with each '''''major''''' update. They're ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awesome and I hope they keep doing what they do.
