I am by no means good at rhythm games, but I've played my fair share of osu, beat saber and muse dash. As many say, this might be one of the most difficult rhythm games to master due to it's pretty unique spin on the standard GH/osumania mechanics: while the notes (usually) move on beats as opposed to continuously, every monster brings a different attack pattern which, at least at first, forces you to track and predict their movement, as opposed to "click note once and you don't have to think about it anymore".
With that said, everything takes practice and once you start to get the hang of things you really fall into the rhythm, as it were - the mechanics are executed phenomenally, maybe even better than my other well loved games. The music is phenomenal and the cartoony whimsical artstyle really adds to the charm. It's quickly turning out to be one of my favourite games and I am annoyed I didn't hear about it when it came out.
The prequel, Crypt, is a well known indie darling but this game didn't seem to gather quite as much attention as it rightfully deserves. I've only been playing for a couple of hours so far, but I will definitely keep coming back to it, in large part due to it's seamless integration with the steam workshop for custom songs, immediately making it a timeless experience. Such a "first class" feature and integration is definitely something a certain other rhythm game made for VR critically lacks, but that's a bit of a tangential thought.
Overall, a wonderful game that deserves to be experienced and played for years to come. Just be prepared for the difficulty spike at harder settings :3

A very short but sweet experience, bound to give you some new waifus. It's free, might as well give it a shot.

Yeah it's pretty good I guess, probably a must-own for anyone with a VR headset.
Be sure to mod it from day 0 though because that's really where the bulk of the content is at.
