Makes me think of Zelda, Persona, and Nier: Automata at the same time (in a good way).

It's a pretty good game. It starts a bit bare and from the first glance looks like a "Subnautica but on an uninhabitable planet", but after a couple of hours it blossoms into a separate, independent experience. My only complaint is that for a game where you really need to craft a lot the crafting QOL improvements like drones, autocrafters and T2 lockers come into play way too late.

In terms of graphics this is an undeniable masterpiece. In terms of gameplay and plot I'd say play the Sacrifice (the first game) first if you haven't played it yet.

This game is so good I bought a second copy and gifted it to a friend after playing it for just 15 minutes.

This is a great game that will happily eat your week if you let it.

It's a wonderful game.

Beautiful art style, fantastic music, great characters with pretty interesting story arcs (although it's a bummer that you most likely will need to play it at least twice in order to open all of them). On the flip side, the haggling cards are in need of some rebalancing, the UI is lacking some obvious QoL features like ingredient sorting or search, and it's an absolute shame that the characters are not voiced. However, as a whole the game is still a very enjoyable package (if you're not averse to writing down your recipes with pen and paper like in ye olde times).

This is Doki Doki Literature Club with extra steps. It should've ended after Act 1.

Wow.

I am so grateful to have eyes and ears and be able to experience this.... sensation. What a game. What. A. Game.

To put this into words that would be slightly more useful to potential buyers: this is not an action game or a platformer. There's no score, no timer, no enemies. Someone else said that this is a "four hour progressive rock music video" and I guess that's pretty accurate. I don't think you can lose it, and unless you're in it for the show, there's no reason to replay it.

But if you ARE in it for a show, oh boy, "prepare for a show that you will remember for the rest of your lives".

This is a great game. It's very straightforward, very accessible, and very honest. There are no tricks, no twists, no plot to confuse you, no graphics to distract you, just four buttons on your keyboard and infinite hordes of monsters. It's like Crimsonland, but with even fewer controls. Best $3 I spent this year.

It's a pity that Steam doesn't allow "Maybe" as a review vote and forces me to choose between a hard "Yes" and a hard "No".

Paradise Killer deserves praise for its style, soundtrack, and world-building. However, it is not a good "Investigation" game. For an "investigation" game it has too much focus on picking up random collectibles that turn out to be keys to absolutely critical story progression (looking at you, drinks from vending machines). What's worse, the final piece of the murder plot is in a location that you can only randomly stumble upon, as nothing on the island points you to it in any way.

Here're some tips (without spoilers) on how to enjoy the game the most, if you decide to try it:
1. Toggle run on
2. Do not hoard blood gems
3. Take foot baths
