only good thing it has, is maps from older cods. everything else is destine for the garbage bin.

I am out of touch with the current state of Ark, and the community as a whole. I have not played Ark SE for a few years, however I absolutely loved it as a game. I used to host a private PVE dedicated server for me and a few friends.

This is a good upgrade in graphics, and bringing some new functionality to the game, while still feeling closely related to the old one. There are some graphical bugs here and there - but this is ark, its to be expected. Overall a fun and enjoyable game. Now that you can host your own dedicated servers again, I have no grievances towards this game. My few hours spent on it this far, have been thoroughly enjoyed.

FYI 1: you will need a good computer to run it. Its on par with "can it run crisis".

FYI 2: You WILL need to change a LOT of settings to get it running smoothly, with controls and graphics. Do some research into it, it will make the experience a lot more enjoyable.

The cut scenes are unbearable. Standard games where you have cut scenes, it shows you the scene and thats it. The ones in cyberpunk force interacting and are unskipable by their design, even though they have skip options.

- Please walk over and sit on the couch. No, you may not press sit from behind the couch, you must stand in a specific position.
- Yes you can skip rides, kinda. You can skip until there's like 10 seconds left of painfully looking at the back sea of a car. However there may be unskippable cut scenes are the beginning of the trip. Enjoy torture.
- F is to skip car trip. Y is to skip scenes. Enter is to acknowledge prompts. It's basically a mini-game just trying to get to a mission.

I love cut scenes, but I enjoy watching them, not playing them. They are a boring experience to play. I miss games where the cut-scenes were pre-recorded videos that were straight forward and easy to ingest.

Besides that, game looks pretty. I recommend if you love painful cut scenes.

Before I write my review, I'll note that I absolutely loved this game, but it had its issues.

The story was straight forward, fun, very interesting to follow.

The graphics were stunning

but the bugs and weird user experiences...
- Fullscreen results in choppy framerate
- Fullscreen has a mouse bug on multiple-screens
- You cannot jump??? why?
- It is open world, kinda? if you walk around, you notice they block off a lot of areas. Also a lot of areas lack detail, especially open buildings that aren't a part of the main story line.
- Sound issues, where there was no sound in the cut screen every so often

I know that sounds like a lot of isssues, but the story more than makes up for it. It is a great game that I 100% recommend for anyone to play.

having loved the second installment of this franchise, DD2, I felt like this game was deprived of content compared to DD2, and you're paying a whole lot more for it.

In the future, i think I will give it a second chance. Maybe I didn't try it enough to figure out if I liked it. But compared i DD2, this isn't a great game.

Finished about 90% of the game. I certainly do not regret purchasing this, offers a great deal of entertainment. If you think this is a game you might enjoy, chances are, you will enjoy it.
