I'll buy any game that includes beautiful hand drawn 2D animation, but what really makes the underlooked "Jotun" special is the time and effort it takes to tell an engaging tale steeped in authentic norse mythology. The authenticity is brought out in part by the Icelandic voice acting, which was very well done IMO.

On top of this, its a pretty great game on its own with atmospheric Boss battles that are extremely tense and challenging, while maintaing a fairness that managed to keep me from ever feeling frustrated. Perfect difficulty, welcomed puzzles to break up the action (and unique free roam environments that have since been given a slight rework by providing the player with a faster running speed so that it doesnt feel so much like a slog), and a beautiful soundtrack, art style, and mythological setting, really make this 5 or so hour game very fun and immersive. Highly recommend playing this one on a late weekend night during a storm. Im going to go read up on some norse mythology!
