One of the most slept-on games of 2024. A Sekiro-like Metroidvania that promises and overwhelmingly delivers on the challenge and combat satisfaction of its primary inspiration. Game progression follows typical Metroidvania upgrade beats, which means the dopamine boost of getting new upgrades and the crawl of backtracking through larger areas. The setting and aesthetic of the game are wonderfully realized, and the story does a great job of keeping the player invested in Yi's physical and philosophical journey.

A strong recommendation, but be prepared to be challenged.
