Early Access Review
After making it to 1941 as a Behemoth on my second run, I can say that the game runs reasonably well on Deck. Some stability issues, usually when multiple screens try to trigger at once. Gameplay needs more love post-1940. I was expecting, like, an option to do newsreels or something. Also noticed that the AI studios bottomed out around late 1938, and the 1940 and 1941 Pollux awards were barren outside my own output. Gernstein alone was in the red for all of 1939 without closing.

I enjoyed my time with the early access version, overall, and I do recommend the game, but I'm personally probably done till full release.

When I first got into Warhammer 40,000 in high school, over a decade ago now, I quite literally *dreamed* of a cRPG using the FFG 40kRPG rules, either Dark Heresy or Rogue Trader,

And now I have it, and its everything I wanted.

This game's announcement dragged me back into the fandom after the disastrous Fan Content Policy debacle drove me off.

Thank you, Owlcat. I can't wait to see what you all do next.

Everything you've heard about this game is true.

The gameplay is amazing.
The reactivity to your choices is unprecedented.
The graphics are near-flawless.
The score is perfect.

This game can, should, and WILL change the industry for the better, if the industry actually listens to the response.

I honestly don't know what I can say about this game that won't spoil it, but here goes.

You live on a station that was once built and controlled by a megacorp, and then had a revolution to throw them off. Its been a *long* time since then, though, and due to circumstances I *will not spoil*, you're stuck there, and have to make ends meet. Its primarily a story about people and community.

I love the usage of clocks and broad Actions over hard timers and long skill lists, but I also acknowledge that I am a huge Blades in the Dark fan, and if I don't miss my mark, so are the devs.

All in all, this is a very well made game that you can relax while playing, with a great message about people, community, and how a group of people can be greater than the sum of its parts. Highly recommend, you won't regret it.

(and hey, free story expansions! When was the last time you saw those?)

This game is incredibly good, and I absolutely suck at it.

I enjoy myself while sucking at it, which makes it special.

Just finished my first run, at 20 hours, and I can safely say it likely won't be my last.

This games takes the themes present in games like Orwell and Papers, Please and runs with them, in a very satisfying story that had me legitimately questioning myself and my views at times.

The gameplay itself is solid, barring a typo here or there, or a finicky object not recognizing the mouse being over it once or twice. Its really easy to get into, and after at most an hour, its second nature.

All told, an excellent game, made by a shockingly small dev team that deserves much more attention. Here's to future success, Monomyth!

Four Years On, and still going strong. I've been here from the start, even if my playtime and level don't fully reflect that.

I'll be the first to admit, Payday 2 has had its problems. The Diesel Engine isn't just showing its age, its effectively on life support. The addition of weapon skins and microtransactions was controversial, to say the least. The Goat Simulator Heist is an abomination I still refuse to pay good money for, and always will.

But despite everything, I keep coming back. Payday 2 has allowed me to meet friends I still have to this day, to actually play a multiplayer game that didn't brick my old tower, that didn't lag out on my old internet, and to simply enjoy myself. It combines goal-driven co-op with arguably my favourite part, aside from the Hotline Miami heist: Some of the best tacticool Gun Porn I've ever experienced.

Thank you for everything, Overkill.

(P.S: Please, start work on Payday 3 already! Don't become another Crusader Kings 2!)

You can kick a person off the top of a tower taller than the Burj Khalifa, and regularly beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of disrespectful Chorus members for SC favor.

10/10 GOTY.
