Was willing to give this game the benefit of doubt and played a few proper matches and I experienced enough match variety from 5 minute stomps to even matches that made both sides sweat there are some flaws in the game.

The games rarity system while indifferent to any other, in this game it will add a small but huge disparity in one team being able to stomp another, example lets say both teams have all purple gear but when you die you keep your weapons but loose your shield and go back to common shield and if you didn't farm enough you're stuck with common shield and with the TTK of the game the shield HP can be the difference between winning a fight or the spawn screen.

Here's the most glaring thing for me, making keybinds hold or toggle but for some reason the devs decided that crouch would be a toggle and ADS will have no ability to toggle and after a 18GB update today the game no longer runs at 60fps at 1080p not to mention the games sensitivity feels very strange, no matter how high or low I adjust the look and ADS sensitivity it just always feels very off.

I want to say that I can see the Apex Legends influence in Highguard, feels like I am playing the Control mode in Apex.

EDIT: as of 30th January 2026 they did update the game where you can now toggle or hold ADS and crouch

Just absolute fun

Great fun for the hours of gameplay it provided, I do wish it was a little longer but never the less its pretty good.

This is an amazing game with (he)aps of potentia(l) for more amazing art work and ca(p)tivating but simple ga(me)play I 100% would recommend.

I've owned this for awhile and didn't get into it at first due to the lack of populated servers but now it's quite populated and very fun especially since this is sort of like a predecessor to section 8.

When there's teamwork and communication in this game that is when it truely shines that and the occasional DJ's you get in the game
