Getting run down by unique cars is frenetic and fun. More tense than scary, so the 'horror' of this game is on the lower side. Worth the cost of admission.

The procedurally generated levels give this game some replayability vs something like Escape the Backrooms, which is good given this game's relatively short completion time at this point during development. However, I can easily see this be the better of the two once the game's level list has been fully realized.

This is Metroidvania Doom and it's pretty good. A little rough around the edges, but it's to be expected given that it's an early FPS from 1996. Still, its shortcomings do not detract from the overall experience and this nearly 20 year old game holds up surprisingly well.

I love that I hate the way this game makes me feel.

If you want a more traditional horror game, I like/recommend Escape the Backrooms. But if you want a more traditional backrooms/surreal experience, do yourself a favor and play this game.

It's free; what do you have to lose?

Keyboard controls just stopped working at random and the audio is buggy. The game also looks arguably worse than the ports from the mid-2000s at times. The game is also a 60 GB install size when it has no reason to be. As a remaster, all this needed was the missing DLC content, some QOL changes already implemented via mods in the original ports, and a polished multiplayer. Instead, you get an inconsistent experience that varies per player and system, temperamental keyboard controls (they added native controller support, but broke the keyboard controls in the process), a massively inflated install size with upres'd textures that get blown out of the water by mods for the prior ports, and a fundamentally broken multiplayer experience. A slam dunk..... straight into the trash.

If you've played the original and enjoyed it, this is a must buy. It's a complete reimagining of what the original Dead Space had to offer, with a slightly altered plot and welcome gameplay improvements. One can only hope the latter two games in the trilogy get the same treatment this game did, because it's a fantastic experience from start to end.

My only complaint with this product comes with some poor engine optimization at times. Regardless of your PC specs, you will experience the occasional stuttering, especially at high refresh rates. But it's a negative that does not impact the enjoyability of the game all too much.

I loved this game. The campaign is iconic, the zombies is classic, and the multiplayer is frenetic and fun. But these games are rife with security issues which Activision shows no interest is fixing. They continue to sell their broken games at the expense of the consumer, all while issuing cease and desists to the dedicated community members who create clients preserving these experiences and making these games safe to play, all while providing no alternative.

DO NOT BUY THESE GAMES ANYMORE. They're dangerous to the safety of your personal information/PC and Activision has no intention of fixing their extremely broken products.

This game plays much like Doom: Eternal, but much faster without the resource management during combat (outside of health and some weapon cooldowns). The game isn't even complete, but already delivers on pretty much every front. Frenetic, fun gameplay, a kickass soundtrack, fantastic visuals, and cool characters and lore. Pretty much everything I've come to expect from New Blood published games and hands down one of the best, most entertaining FPSs I've played to date. Just makes you wish you could hop forward a few years to play the full package.
