This is exactly the game I was looking for after coming off the highs of both Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree so many years ago. This game has an amazing art style, beautiful and engaging music and superb voice acting. The combat has weight and impact and the story is very compelling.

Although I do have minor gripes such as the lack of meaningful fast travel, the heavy grind nature (though I myself enjoy a good grind from time to time) and the clunky and cumbersome inventory management that you trudge through, especially at the beginning of the game where you have limited space. Some may consider the difficulty of the game to be another setback but I, for one, very much enjoy the challenge of these dungeon crawler, souls-like games.

Overall this game, in it's current state, is a solid 8.5/10 for me and I hope that when and if it ever has a full 1.0 release I can enjoy hundreds of hours and replayability.

Edit: Even though it says I have about 18 hours on this game it is closer to 40 due to offline cloud sync issues.

Hands down one of the best games I've ever played. The story, the gameplay, the world building! No one does it quite like FromSoft.
