Simply put, this is an exceptional title and a great sequel to Hollow Knight..

However, for those getting into this game because of the hype, I'd urge you to play Hollow Knight first; that game's new player experience is far more complete than Silksong's as it creates a better base-line to refine and improve upon over the duration of the game.

Team Cherry have chosen to make this a sequel in both story and difficulty, where most developers 'maintain status-quo' with difficulty - both games are excellent, but Silksong does little to ease players into the experience in an endearing way. Throughout my blind play-through on release I continuously thought 'this is going to seriously piss new players off' alongside areas and mobs I also just found to be annoying rather than challenging.

An exceptional game that's made greater by it's community; it's rare in modern gaming to be able to seamlessly connect and play with people across the world.

Cannot recommend this game enough. Arrowhead are keeping a steady stream of content available as well as going to bat for the community they've fostered.

I have no doubt the PSN linking will return, but I expect that at least your game won't be held to ransom for it.
