Yooka-Laylee is pretty solid experience, and if you enjoy collectathons you should find the game a fun time. The only really point in the game I feel the enjoyability takes a bit of a dive is Capital Cashino. It's a nice idea to change-up the format of gathering pagies for a level, but it also made the level drag more than it needed to be. But even with that lull in the game I can say I enjoyed my time with it.

A classic...and will beat the heck out of ya.

What can I really say that has not been said about this classic, and I mean that in more than on sense of the word. As much as it has been repeated by many a person before. Grim Fandango was truly the swan song of the Point-And-Click scene. In terms of tone the game brings me back to a time in my youth where a new game was new story to share, and enjoy with my folks. I never got to truly finish the game back then so it brought a ton of joy back into my life to finally finish, and see the end of the story. I'm sure that, plus the connection it had to my bounding with my folks. Does more than enough to coat my review in a ton of sentimental value. But at the end of the day it is a game that is special to me on so many levels.
