These games are so beautiful. A testament to how well done games, and story telling within them, can be.
The remaster is everything I'd want it to be, with few "would like to have's" left unfulfilled.

If you're a fan of JRPGs and have never tried them, I'd recommend them both. The sound tracks are amazing, the game play is great, (the inventory system in the first one leaves a little to be desired, I'll give you that) and the story telling is amazing!

Great game, strong "Choose your own adventure" type vibes, but with great depth of characters and what feels like a nice spread of choices.
I enjoyed my play through.
Would highly recommend checking out the quickstart guide in the community guides section.

A very lovely game that's easy to get into and fun to collect all the little easter eggs.
There's just enough hints at the inspiration for this series to satiate this old fan.
Beyond the main plot you'll find the many, many, NPC's that you come to get to know and run errands for end up expanding both the lore and the world (and your stats). Plus, if you like Metroidvania type games, this one is a good addition to that genre.

great game to unwind to while doom scrolling current events.
the turn based nature of the game lends itself nicely to consuming other kinds of media nicely while enjoying the game. Put on a movie, have twitch streaming your favourite streamer while killing some demons. This is a fun game that's quick and easy to pick up and challenging enough to make it worth coming back to every time you're bored.

Early Access Review
A great interpretation of the d&d SRD 5.1 edition rules.
The custom feats and additions to the SRD material are good and add a little something outside of the regular d&d expience without breaking the game.

it's only partially completed as of the writing this review and it lacks features I'd love to see (such as a random dungeon crawl type option) but it shows much promise and will be worth every penny once it's completed.

I've been playing this game since '97 and it ranks in my top 5 favourite games of all time. The transition to modern graphics went better than I expected. I'll confess to saying that I still prefer the classic ASCII version. ADOM was the game that really got me hooked on Rogue-likes and it's the standard by which I judge other games in the genre.
