I honestly don’t know where to start.

This game had massive potential. The beta felt polished, fun, and promising—it actually convinced me to pre-order. Fast forward to release, and it felt like a completely different (and worse) game.

1. Vehicle Gameplay

- Tanks: Feel like a joke against infantry. You’re more of a target than a threat.
- Helicopters: Damage is laughably low. You barely impact the battlefield using Smart Rockets and Light Rockets.
- Guided Shells: Ironically, the best anti-air option isn’t AA—it’s skilled players abusing guided shells on tanks/IFVs.
- AA Tanks: Completely useless. Can’t effectively counter aircraft or anything else.

2. It looks like Battlefield… but doesn’t feel like Battlefield.
And that’s coming from someone who’s been playing since BF Play4Free.

3. RedSec?
Didn’t even touch it in 4 months. That says enough.

4. Monetization over content
Instead of meaningful DLCs and expansions like older titles (even BFV), we get flooded with cosmetics.

5. Map Design
Maps feel cramped and chaotic—more like Call of Duty than Battlefield’s signature large-scale sandbox.

6. Portal Mode
Once again neglected by EA/DICE. It had insane potential to expand gameplay variety, but instead it’s left to die with crazy rubber bands issues and disabled XP with Bots.

7. Giza Representation
As an Egyptian… I couldn’t help but laugh. The way Giza was portrayed in both campaign and multiplayer felt off and borderline ridiculous, and not to mention the in-accurate army mustard camo color.

At this point, I’d rather go back to BF3 or BF4—but those servers are either dying or filled with hardcore veterans. I just want a couple of chill hours after work and the gym, not a sweat fest.

Final Verdict:
A game that looks like Battlefield on the surface but misses the soul completely.

While it lacked the soul of Dying Light 1, it felt like a refresh but also didn't feel as great as Dying Light 1.

Okay, this needs a NG+ !!

I tried loving it but the game is filled with cheaters. I will only go back to try Black Hawk CO-OP Campaign

Kill the heretic, slay the mutant, and burn the xeno!

This has aged fine like wine. Highly recommend before playing its second entry in the series!

I may have 16 hours only on steam but I racked up +3000 hours on the disk retail version that came with my uncle's Nvidia GT 9800 card in 2008!

Update:

The game is beyond what E3 Trailer promised and highly polished and entertaining in many ways!

Cyberpunk 2077 and NMS both game's studios proved you can redeem a failed release!

Old Review:
I am sorry but after all this the game is nothing like we seen in E3 Trailer and that's what disappointing me beside it's so shallow unlike the trailer No factions space battles, you can ally with other factions but when you get attacked right beside them it's like you are not there they don't help unlike the trailer which they kept cruising with half the trailer and the UI changed and looks like crap unlike the trailer most plants have life but not like the plants in the trailer we have seen... beside Sean Murray Lying about begin multiplayer.. is what made me lose hope for the game the game had such a potential i wish it really delivered and well i can't refund it after 48hours of playing it.. almost forgot i am pretty sure this isn't finished lets not forget about the flood that happened back in 2014 at Hello Games office which made them lose lots of their work maybe that's why the game looks different? who knows maybe they will give us what we wanted but on stages? piece by piece? lets stay hopeful for the game but as of right now i don't recommend the game at all unless you wanna really play the game in it's current state.
