So like.. I think it's pretty good and has a lot of potential!

Some things I wanted to note about my experience, since me (and I'm assuming quite a lot of people) are coming from Overwatch2 and probably don't know how the game feels or plays, and when they get into it, are hyper confused about what is going on.

The main things to note about the game is:
  1. Diverse, fun, and niche hero cast
  2. Everyone has big, bloated kits with lots of abilities
  3. Team up ability synergies (promotes certain comps)
  4. Low TTK (Time To Kill). aka people die very fast
  5. High healing output (yay, supports / "strategists" feel meaningful)
  6. Ultimate abilities are stored between rounds
  7. Map geometry is destructible
  8. Lots of mobility, movement, and cover in the maps
  9. Annoying invisible walls
  10. Server connectivity issues
  11. Balancing (beta)
  12. Bare-bones "Custom Games" implementation
  13. Minimal monetization (*IN THE BETA)
  14. Several slot emote/spray wheel
  15. Has Hello and other misc comms options (Although, could use more voicelines for them)
  16. Very "Busy" and confusing
  17. Cant crouch

Some things in particular that I should explain a bit further:

#2: if you are coming from Overwatch, you will be reminded of heroes like ramattra and baptiste. The heroes in this game have many abilities and it takes a little while to get used to, but it sort of allows every hero to have their own form of skill expression due to ability usage, more closely resembling MMO mechanics like in World of Warcraft.

#7: it is a bit strange because the pinging system tends to ping a breakable surface instead of the enemy in front of it that I'm clicking on, but destroying buildings and high ground is good for making space and reducing cover / angles.

#9: it messes with heroes like Venom, Spiderman, Storm, and Rocket because maps often have invisible walls at the top of buildings which makes traversal and escape not very fun.

#10: i get disconnected from matches constantly and I'm not sure what it is. I think if you spam Sprays you can DC the server (i found out on accident?) but I'm not entirely sure what is causing this "Disconnected" message mid-round.

#11: There are clear winners and clear losers here, with synergy also carrying a lot of matches. Playing Spiderman without a Venom on your team is a big disadvantage. Playing Punisher with a Rocket on your team is an instant win (especially since Punisher is very OP... his shotgun has massive range and damage). This will probably get addressed as the development cycle progresses, but it is very much worth noting. "Dive" meta is also very strong due to high survivability when support heroes are alive, and the high mobility / third person camera making it more difficult to aim at targets with poke damage.

#12: Custom games have no options to disable or enable things such as hero stacking, damage, objectives, or objective timers. While this is fine if you want to play a custom game like a private scrims match, it prevents people from experimenting on maps or setting them to a "friendly" mode.

#13: Obviously, this is a closed beta so I would not expect any overbearing monetization system, especially when almost all items are likely to be wiped on release, however... I would at least like to mention that in the current moment, you can buy skins with currency earned from simply playing the game. It reminds me much of Overwatch 1's old credit system. I'm assuming this "Season" thing is going to be a paid battlepass system like with Overwatch though. For now, nothing negative to say about how monetization looks at the moment.

#16: Because of 6v6 (12 players in one game), big hero kits, and a lot of telegraph / reaction voicelines, the game can get really confusing (visually) and busy (audibly). When I play Rocket for example, he is making one-liners constantly, and anyone who I am with is also constantly making one-liners, and it can feel like an endless barrage of sound at times. Ultimate abilities are also not at all easy to identify by voiceline. In Overwatch, Enemy and Friendly Ultimates have unique voicelines, and it is very easy to tell when someone is using their ultimate, and within range. In Rivals, I feel like this feedback is improperly used and most Ultimate abilities you can barely hear or notice until you finally manage to find the hero who used it, it might be completely hidden until it goes off or you find it, or the game shows you a massive WARNING icon on your screen. I believe this is somewhat of a failure in game design and I would hope they would address these concerns before release.

Overall, I don't think this is an "Overwatch Killer" because the gameplay (although similar, same for the interface..) feels unique enough for it to play like its own kind of game, with its own rules and playstyles. It is a fun little game and I think it has a lot of promise under the right circumstances. Interested to see how this game develops over time and hope the developers could take into considerations some of the negative things I had mentioned, while making the positive ones even better. Highly recommend for anyone who likes games from the "hero shooter" genre.

Fun experience!
Although I am pretty sad that this game marks the removal of automatic matchmaking, and honestly outclasses Far Cry 6 by miles, this is by far one of the best Far Cry games of the series.
The DLC is not particularly interesting to me (and sometimes ruins the rest of the main game), but it is serviceable to some extent.

The co-op system is different now, in that you can't just queue and join someone else. You have to now find the discord server or find some other way of looking for players, shoot them a friend request on Uplay, then join their lobby that way. It is rather annoying to do this, but at least you can still have fun in co-op.
You can play through the whole game in co-op which is pretty nice, although your partner doesnt seem to share any of the progress on their end which is a bit annoying.

This game also seems to be free of any sort of anti-cheat system which is pretty fun if you're playing co-op with a buddy and just want to mess around, but also pretty bad when you get into any of the PvP stuff.
You can still pet animals which is a major plus.
You also have shovel launchers and the ability to throw literally any melee weapon at your enemy which i just find hilarious. Both of these mechanics were deleted in Far Cry 6 so thanks for sucking the fun out of the game...

The story is really "out there" and I had a bit of hard time caring for much of anyone. It definitely is not as interesting as Far Cry 3, or as funny as Far Cry 4, but it is decent and fun. There are a lot of strange bugs and glitches exclusive to co-op play though so that can make it a bit rough. There is also an annoying mechanic where you just constantly get kidnapped as soon as you take damage (when the story demands of it). The villains don't really show themselves all that much, but they do still talk to you over the radio a couple of times which is way better than in Far Cry 6 where he doesn't really do much of anything at all.

I haven't played New Dawn so I cant comment on that end, but as this game stands, definitely fun to play with a friend.

Decent title.
I really love one of the main villains / people in this game, Vaas, much like every other player of FC3, but a lot of the rest of the game can be a bit forgettable to me. The main character, Jason, doesn't really stand out that much, or have much character himself. He is mostly just a bravado jackass with lots of guns. The story itself is crazy and outright hilarious at times, and that is definitely part of the charm.

I love the fact that this game has Skrillex music. It is perfectly timeless with how charming and quirky it can be. There is a nice balance of challenge and fun to be had in this game, especially for returning players or people who have enjoyed the newer experiences. Personally, I still prefer Far Cry 4 over this one. It felt a little bit more fleshed out, and I seriously love Pagan Min... lovely character.

If you like Far Cry, you will like Far Cry 3. If you like shooting things just because its fun, you will *also* like Far Cry 3. Just ignore the uh.. random voodoo magic going on and there will be a lot to enjoy. Not very replayable, but definitely a great experience.

It.. works I suppose.
I'm still largely confused why there are 4 different "Face Rig" apps like "Facerig Studio" and "Animaze"...
Pretty decent face tracking tool, especially when using iOS face tracking and whatnot, but definitely not infallible.
I suppose it's harmless enough.

Great game.
Pretty realistic until you somehow manage to melt the engine block.
The physics system is phenomenal. Definitely far from perfect however, but still pretty advanced relative to any other simulation games I have played.
Multiplayer is NOT available natively, but can be handled with a mod so there's that.
If you enjoy racing games, particularly pretty difficult games, this might be fun to play around with.
I don't really recommend this game if you are a fan of the iRacing or Assetto Corsa series, but if you want to crash some cars and drive around, it is pretty fun.

There aren't many "race tracks" as part of the base game, so if you enjoy racing you might have to find a couple of mods to suit your needs. This is more of an exploration / sandbox game than a racing game, and the performance requirement is a little bit too high, particularly on the CPU when working with multiple cars in the scene, but it still manages to be fun and interesting.

Fun game.

The community, as you might expect, is not very mature so multiplayer might not be very enjoyable for people my age; however the game itself is pretty fun. I don't particularly care for the zombie survival or PvP modes, as there aren't really many weapon options in the game, but you can build some pretty stunning and creative vehicles with this system, especially as it's aged over the years. Things like trains and boats actually work now as well, however motorcycles have been permanently broken as a side effect.

The traction of the wheels and engine simulation is very bare bones and nothing to write home about, and the destruction physics are really random. If you are into good destruction physics, I would instead recommend Teardown or BeamNG.drive.

All in all, a harmless lego car designer game that lets you make some pretty neat things, but do not expect a whole lot of fun in multiplayer unless you are very young.

Some people liked it.
I didn't
It's the same beats as the base game, but it feels incredibly clunky and odd.
All the animations are skipped since you are in VR so the pacing is very broken and sometimes ruined altogether.
This is a lot like Skyrim VR, but honestly a lot worse.

Don't waste your money on this DLC unless you just absolutely have to see Fallout 4 in all its VR.. "glory" I suppose.

You can pet the dog.
In all seriousness though, it is an alright title from Ubisoft.
I enjoy it a little more than the original game, simply because it is definitely more fun to play in multiplayer than the previous entry, especially since you can hack cars to drive them around.
Definitely better than Watch_Dogs Legion in my opinion.
Worth it if you liked the original game and want to mess around more with the hacking tools. Story is a bit weaker though, and the gameplay in campaign and multiplayer missions is a bit lacking. Still, it is very fun to goof around in.

Certainly, an experience..

The thing about this game is you never really know what to expect.. so you can't really expect much of anything. One day you could be exploring a beautiful, sophisticated, yet eerie environment glowing with creativity and bursting with imagination; and the other you will be called slurs by youngsters with full body tracking equipment.

What I really enjoy the most about this game is the freedom. The freedom to create, express, and build. There are a lot of really neat things you can build in this environment, and a lot of wonderful places to explore. Of course, plenty of unique people to interact with, both amazing and abhorrent, and uh.. rather peculiar.. avatars.

A lot of the more modern updates have really been pushing the boundaries of this type of interaction, from PhysBones to Udon to pretty much everything in between. Don't get me wrong, there are so many different reasons one person might enjoy this game. Some people find it as a nice escape from reality every now and then, enjoy socializing or working out in the comfort of their own home, or may even struggle with concepts such as body and gender dysmorphia, in which case this game will allow you to explore those situations and perhaps find some amount of comfort or therapy that you might have difficulty realizing in the real world.

For everything there is to hate about this game and its community, I find that there are many more things to love. For those of you who are looking for something new, or who already play this game and are struggling to find enjoyment, I recommend to look for communities. Find one that shares similar interests or seems intriguing, and see if there are some people you might want to find. Maybe it's a public dance class, a sign language club, or even a virtual furry convention. There is always something to do somewhere, and there really is a future in games like this.

Reminds me of Human Fall Flat and the amazing frog game as well.
Harmless little sandbox game; fun to mess around in with your buddies.
Not much to do once you've explored everything, kinda like Goat Simulator.

One of those play and drop games, but definitely worth the first time exploration.
