The other reviews say it's a buggy mess, but they must have patched the hell out of the thing, because I've had no problems with it. As for the quality of the actual game...it's Monopoly. It plays exactly how you'd imagine a Monopoly video game would play. If you like Monopoly, you'll enjoy this. I happen to love Monopoly.

A lovely, short game that was clearly a work of love from the Randumb Studios to their fans. A cute, fun experience offered for free, just to give people with hectic enough lives a little treat. Absolute win.

One of the complaints I mentioned in my review of the base game is that the storyline content does not match up at all with the characters you brought with you on your away team. You can send Michael Burnham or Dr. McCoy on a shuttle mission and bring with you Uhura and Dr. Crusher. But when the story requires a science or medical specialist, it's *always* going to be Michael or Bones. The story is COMPLETELY disconnected with the actual gameplay.

This DLC goes one step further wit this issue. Some of the levels have story that is just between Cardassians and Klingons, before taking you back to your federation away team. Kind of ridiculous. It wouldn't have been that hard to make the lines a bit more generic if you didn't bring the expected characters.

The additional characters are fine. I'm not sure I'd consider Cleveland Booker as an "iconic character" as mentioned in the description. I understand he plays a large role in Star Trek: Discovery...but Discovery was the least watched, least successful series in Star Trek history (baring perhaps the 70's cartoon show, but who's actually counting that?).

All in all, if you're just DYING for more content after completing the base game, this feels like an event you'd get as content drop in a mobile game...but I'm not sure I'd pay $7.99 for it again.

Like most mobile games (or adaptations there of), the game play can get very repetitive. It's also very irritating that the story always revolves around three characters (Michael Burnham, Dr. McCoy and Worf), regardless of which characters you're actually playing as. It kind of takes you out of the story when you choose a science option, relying on Spock, who you've got on your team, to make the check...and the cut scene shows Michael Burnham doing it, despite the fact that you sent her out on a shuttle mission.

That said, there's something enjoyable about playing what was CLEARLY originally a mobile gacha game filled with micro-transactions, but not having to deal with said micro-transactions EVER. It's like I'm finally getting to experience what it's like to play a game like this as a whale with absurd amounts of disposable income.

It's a decent enough diversion to keep open while doing other things. Certainly not BAD, and if I had more granular ratings options than "yes or no," I might give the game 6 or 7 out of 10. But while it is fun, and I'm a sucker for anything that features the characters from the 1980's animated series, it IS a micro-transaction-laden gacha game, which I generally disapprove of, as I believe the practice in general is very bad for the industry. As such, with a binary "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" rating system, I have to give it a thumbs down.

The Good: Despite being a port of micro-transaction-heavy, predatorially monetized mobile game, the actual gameplay feels like a real Mega Man game, and the micro-transactions have been completely removed.

The bad: the localization is very limited. All of the voice lines are still in Japanese, with female characters who sound like 30 year-old women trying to sound like 13 year old girls. Very annoying.

Additionally, there are way too many mechanics. Too much going on at one time. It's very, VERY clear that this game was designed to milk your wallet. Choose your character! Level up your character! Upgrade your character! Choose a chip for your character! Choose some cards to play on your character! Choose your character's weapon! Level up the weapon! Upgrade the weapon! Put a chip on the wea...you get the idea. There's a million different things to buy in the store all at once, with multiple currencies needed to buy or redeem them. All of which were obviously put there to get you to feel frustrated or overwhelmed, so that you'd just plunk down some money to get through it.

Overall, there's a lot of fun to be had in actually playing the game, and I WOULD recommend it, but at the end of the day, there are still problems left over from its horrible mobile roots.

Has to be the best fan game I've ever played. INCREDIBLY addictive and filled with fun references for fans of Hololive V-Tubers, this is EASILY a $20 game, made completely free as a work of love. A must-have for any fan of Hololive, or this genre of game in general!

Boasting an impressive amount of branching paths, excellent voice acting, great art and wonderful righting that keeps you coming back over and over to explore your options, this game is truly something special.

It's "the never ending story" all over again. You (I) just want to believe, so badly.

My secret word is "appreciate"
