GOOD

Never felt like I really had options in combat, like there was always a 'right' way to do things. It always ended up feeling more like a puzzle game than a tactics game, trying to figure out what the designers intended me to do rather than coming up with my own strategy. When a tactics game feels like this to me, it's pure death. I lose all enthusiasm extremely quickly. I really wanted to like it, but ah well...

I love isometric party-based RPGs, and I'll play a lot of janky garbage, but man this game is just not fun.

The side quests are incredibly rote and formulaic, the companions barely speak, the loot is largely uninteresting, the level design is mostly empty fields with no sense of exploration, the load times are way longer than they should be for a game like this, the combat is not very hard or tactical (even on a higher difficulty).

The game is simply boring. I don't even care that the graphics look bad. I do kinda care that the elephant people look extremely goofy, and not in a good way. Hate their design.

A masterful culmination of the best of everything FromSoft has done so far.
