This game was the first game to ever elicit a genuine emotional reaction for me. I won't spoil anything, but let's say that the Woman's Lot or Womans Work (I forget the exact name) DLC story is intense. Otherwise this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The characters have depth to them, the learning curve on things like combat and, well everything really gets you invested in your experience and among the countless things I could praise about KCD, it's grounded realism is what I like most. No goofy magic, no historically inaccurate stuff tacked on and it respects both the time period and history that was made during it. In fact, between the photo comparisons of the very real places featured in the game and exploring the history of many of the in game characters who were real people once, it is a beautifully immersive experience.
