Very enjoyable game. Very cute, can be pretty funny at times too. Mal-Sook is my preferred, super cute.

Took me 30 hours to finish the game. Absolutely astounding. Never played the original, played Automata before, this game is definitely way better. Everything is just so crisp and nice. 10/10.
If there's one thing to take away from this: The music absolutely slaps and instantly got me hooked on the game, the rest was just sweet icing on an already perfect cake.

Uhhh....yeah. This game is pretty good. I enjoyed my run. Beat it in 87 mins with like 5 deaths. On easy. Gonna go back to hard mode and give that a go with the other characters.
Main thing to note: I hate the pistol.
Second thing to note: I LOVE the revolver.

The music is nice, albeit, not a lot of different tracks. The bosses are nice and decently challenging (though I would like to add during the run I beat, the revolver kinda decimated every boss. Including the final boss).

I recommend the game. The price fits what you get and im hoping to see more content in the future.

Early Access Review
Well, where do i start?

This game is incredibly fun and, to my surprise, incredibly addictive. I haven't played a roguelite/like before and I was taking a risk with Hades to see if I might be interested in it. After playing a bit I was instantly hooked. The combat is amazingly fun and provides a nice amount of difficulty. There is more than just the Sword and each provide a different play-style. You can easily find your favorite weapon and just got have tons of fun with it. Upgrades are nice and provide plenty of extra fun and play-style to the game. The art-style is gorgeous, even if its not trying to push current graphic boundaries. The voice-acting is wonderful and all the characters (if even they are well known) provide plenty of character.

There is just so much to love and enjoy about this game that I highly and fully recommend this game to anyone. The steam reviews say more than I can about this game. Whether you have tried a Roguelite/like before, this is definitely one of the best games to try and get your feet wet with.

A solid 9/10. With further updates to this game and seeing where it lands, this could EASILY go to a 10.

Well, with this glimpse at what the full game is like. I think its gonna be something pretty nice. Graphics are really nice and pleasing. The voice acting is actually pretty good. I was coming in thinking it was gonna be ok-ish, but it isnt too bad. The gameplay itself is actually really fun. I like the 3 guns you can play with. They all feel equally powerful, which is nice because pistols kinda always get the bad treatment in some games. The abilities you get are also fun to play with. You can float enemies in the air to earn more score (missions have the SSS,SS,S,A,B,C rating).

Now, with all of that said, there are a few issues I ran into.

I want to start off and say that I can personally deal with this, it doesn't ruin any gameplay or make it worse. With that being said...the dodging, that is not super fun to play with. You have to press Shift+A to dodge left, Shift+D to dodge right and Shift+S to dodge back. Its nice, but when Shift is sprinting AND you have to hold it for dodging, it creates a problem where you end up not dodging when you want to. Currently, there isnt any key binding available, but im sure once you can rebind the keys, it might not be too bad. But currently, its rough.

Another issue is the double jump(?). I dont personally like having to hold the space bar to jump twice. But thats my own personal problem. Nothing that really does anything bad for ya.

So, with all of that said, I think the game is fun. A few bumps, but nothing that couldnt be fixed. The gameplay is nice and fun. I think its got a good idea, but just needs a little fixing.

TL;DR
Game is fun, double jump and dodging is a little wonky but nothing that ruins the game. Its got a bunch going for it and it doesnt seem like the developer wants to ruin it. The fact that they are also giving free copies to beta owners is really nice and definitely worth picking the beta up for. Gameplay lasts for about 40-ish mins, so you could refund if you dont enjoy it.

Solid 6/10 for me. Might be higher once the full game comes out.

I would like to first start off by saying that I have not, and cannot, beat this game. Reason further in the review.

I played the first Darksiders game and beat it within about 2 weeks. I absolutely loved that game and thought I may as well go beat them in order. (I havent played any Darksiders games before now). I got DS2 and began to play it. At first, the new system was a little odd, but after a bit of playing it gets pretty easy to get used to it. During my playthrough, I found it harder to get executions. In fact, I think up until today of this review, I only ever got maybe 10 executions? Im not sure if that was a mistake on my end or not, but it didnt really bother me.

The game looks good, especially since this was a remaster. The combat is satisfying, though I ended up enjoying the Glaive as a my choice of secondary weapon. I also found that health was moved to potions in this game and that enemies dont give you health on kill since you dont get much in terms of executions. Boss fights were really fun and provided a good challenge on Normal difficulty. The enemies were sometimes damage sponges, which was a tad bit annoying, but nothing that ruins the game.

But this is where the sad part comes in...so grab some tissues.

This game has been plagued by many game breaking bugs for everyone. And unfortunately it happened with me too. About 3 hours into my play through (which only was just barely past the beginning of the game) i ran into an issue where walking down a corridor made my game stutter and crash. I ended up finding a fix and was able to pass through the area. Continued to enjoy the game more, but as I was on the track to beating the game, i ran into ANOTHER stuttering and crash. And unfortunately I haven't been able to fix it. So I gave up and watched the cutscenes.

I truly recommend this and DS1 if you can get through the problems this game has. (No issues with DS1 btw). I really enjoyed this game and i will probably write a review for DS3, as im going to be starting it after i post this review.

This game gets a solid 6/10. Would be 8/10 if i didnt run into any issues.

This game, its amazing. This was my first Final Fantasy game. I was always watching my dad play it, and even got the chance to play it myself! FF12 goes down as one of my favorite FF games (FF14, 7, 9, and 15 are some of my other favorites). The price is a little too high, I can sorta see why its there, but it should maybe be $40 or $30, still good revenue either way for SE. Either way, this game was an instant buy and I definitely recommend worth getting this game. I get 60 FPS with my GTX 950. Music is amazing, story is lovely, and playing the game is just as good as I remember.

Holy ♥♥♥♥ do I recommend this game. I was a little unsure about getting this game at first, cause it didn't seem like I would've enjoyed it. But I gave it a try cause a few other people told me its a great game. Well, I more than agree with that statement. This game is amazing. Its sorta linear, you dont have an "open world" to explore, which isn't bad because the story focuses Senua and her thoughts and fears, with finding her lover as a ending goal. I loved every bit of the game. I usually hate doing puzzle games, cause im a bit of a dummy, but it was pretty enjoyable to do it. The fighting is pretty nice too, you have your light attacks and heavy attacks, with a block and parry, so its really easy to get down. (parrying is actually a lot better than trying to block attacks). I died only one time (but that was because the game makes you die in the begining) other than that, dying isn't too much of a worry as long as you can dodge and parry attacks. Though, throughout the story, Senua has black veins covering her right arm, and if it reaches her head, you basically lose the game and your progress, so play it safe! The runes placed around the game are nice to obtain too, if you dont know much about Norse Mythology, I definitely would try to get all of them as they explain a lot about the gods.

This game also plays a lot of voices through your head, and as Senua, you are constantly listening to these voices, while sometimes a bit overwhelming, they do help you in combat by warning you about incoming enemy attacks. (there is an option to turn the voices volume down, but it really ruins the point of the game to turn it off). There's no real tutorial either, so I do recommend checking the keybindings before you play, just to make sure you get a grasp of the combat and other mechanics.

In my opinion, the game really works well. The voices, the enemies, the combat, the experience all make this game worth every penny. I just dont see how it could be worth any less, and I do think its not worth $60, but by all means that does not make this game less fun or whatever. Also the credits theme song really ties in so perfectly with the story.

HellBlade: Senua's Sacrifice is fantastic. Buy it. You wont regret it.

10/10

So, I deleted my first review for this game, as it was back around the games beta/launch(?). But overtime my opinion has genuinely changed, and not entirely for the better.

I'd like to start off that I still enjoy this game, which is why Im recommending it. Its definitely worth playing, especially if you played the first one. So i'll explain more of my reasoning for recommending it down below. But for now, we start with my change of opinion.

Honestly. Like genuine honesty. This game really hasn't changed all too much since launch. They added SWAT (my favorite class) and Survivalist, which is honestly a waste to play. They've also added new weapons, a new boss and *some* new Zeds. Most of the new additions to the game come from the maps, seasonal events, and a bunch of microtransactional items. Im not hating on microtransactions though, but they add a lot. The game really suffers from still being TOO similar to how it was on launch. After a while, I lost interest to play this game and haven't really followed up much for a while. Its really sad too, because I genuinely love this game. KF1 was awesome for its time and KF2, while having great new additions, still suffers from KF1's problem of: Lack of Content.

I can let KF1's lack of content pass because it was a small team, and the game ran on a pretty old engine. But for KF2? Its kinda hard to let it pass, Tripwire has grown and has a bunch of other games, but it feels like KF2 has kinda bitten the dust in terms of holding a lot of attention for TWI? Which im surprised, because the game seems to have done well all things considered. Though I guess I yearn for more content that keeps the game fresh. The seasonal events dont really do too much for the game other than giving you something temporary to do (and making you spend more money). I want to see this game expand and grow, but content seems to have really slowed down since launch. Which is a real disappointment. Its still same the same game, same way of playing. Not that that is bad, but for KF2. It gets a bit stale.

With all of this negativity, I would sure not recommend this game right? Well, I still do recommend this. First timers should get this game and you will absolutely enjoy it. They have a banger soundtrack that really gets you pumped and in a killing mood. The gameplay (on first play) is great and keeps you wanting more. I highly recommend getting this game if you're wanting to try it. But as my previous paragraphs mentioned, it gets a bit stale.

I do expect to get some negative comments, but do know that my review comes from passion for this game and things I would like to see. I understand this game may no longer be of interest to them, but its still sad to see the content flow really slow down.
