While I'm disappointed that the game has been bought by Facebook, and expect that to have negative consequences on its future development, the game is still a must have VR title.

It's roughly a 15 minute experience, it's dark, and if you have a VR headset, you should try it.

For whoever it might still matter to, this game is good. You should buy it. It's good in a special sort of way. It probably won't hold your attention for months or years, but it will hold it for days or weeks, and you'll come back to it periodically. Keep in mind, that at this point, server populations are very low.

Edit: The game is still good, the devs still push updates on occasion, which is really something all things considered.

I have played many games. I have played good games, I have played bad games, but I have only ever played two games I consider to be true masterpeices. This is one of those games. The other is Portal 2.

Alright, I have some complaints, but none of them are bout the software itself, and so I will go over them at the end. To start with, This program is great, if simple. If it's a video file, you can watch it, and it will work. It will simulate a flat screen or a curved one, and you can have stereo 3D, or flat image on a flat, cuved, 180, or 360 display. There is a lights off button that turns off all of the graphics around the display, so you just see that, for flat or curved veiwing the display can be resized. The reverb effect that was annoying at first can be turned off readily in settings. There is a volume slider, so you can control volume seperately from the system volume you need to go to most of the time. There are quick controls on the controler, so you can control volume, and skip forwards and backwards without needing to point. In general the interface is fairly intuitive. Really, it is perfect.

Now onto those complaints that don't have anything to do with the software itself. This should have been released when the Vive came out. It is in fact such basic funtionality, that you shouldn't need to download it off of steam or viveport, it should be included in the dashboard like desktop veiw, and it should have been from the very start, not a whole year after the Vive came out. While this plays a wide variety of video file formats, there is no getting around the fact that this is not how most people store their media, most people either have a bluray/DVD collection, or they watch streaming media such as hulu, netflix, or amazon. Obviously that only really applies to traditional movies and TV shows, but this is actualy an interesting way to watch those, but in our DRM laden world, that can be pretty chalenging for people who do not pirate things, or obsesively back up some large portion of there bluray/DVD colelction to their hard drives (yay me on that second one I guess). This obviously isn't HTCs fault in this case, and there isn't really even anything they can do about it, but it's still a problem.
