at 45 hours I'm realizing i'm only halfway through the story content and I'm still loving it. Excellent pacing, constantly giving the player something to do so you're never just waiting for the next event to trigger. easy to play, very relaxing, and runs like a dream on Deck.

I remember buying this at launch for $10. Now, 15 years later and several games worth of additional content its still only $10. Quite possibly the greatest value for a game on this entire platform. Incredibly fun to play, incredible amounts of content even before you get to the outstanding community mod scene. Incredible team that still updates even more than a decade on. If you somehow don't already own it, you need to now.

an ok shooter but an awful FEAR game.

Could've and should've been better, especially given how barren the field is for WW1 games, but just falls flat. Enemy AI is dull and boring, the world map isn't exciting, way too easy to get ahead really fast, and while historically accurate early battles are just boring slogs. Should have been great, and there's fantastic ideas like how battlefields are persistent meaning you slowly but surely build up, but wasn't compelling enough to stick with for very long.

an interesting idea, especially in the 2000's but by now has been eclipsed 100 times over by far better games.

the story of this game is probably more interesting than the game itself and while one day the devs might have a great game, that would depend on them actually finishing the damn thing. Basically a scam at this point and seemingly totally abandoned.

A disappointment in nearly every way. The new levels aren't ever as good as the original, the new masks are annoying, you're forced to use certain characters in most levels, and getting killed by offscreen enemies happens way too often. About the only improvement is the soundtrack which maintains the original's beyond stellar track list.

The definitive name in WW2 wargaming. Easy to pick up and play but still offers a lot of challenge. Great to enjoy on a Sunday afternoon with a good video or podcast on a second monitor and a hot cup of tea. Endless amounts of game time with hundreds of scenarios and campaigns and fan mods.

Still THE Diablo 2 killer. With hand-crafted levels, great encounters, fun character builds, interesting skills, and great sounds and visuals. An ultimate classic, and while Grim Dawn or Torchlight 2 might have moved the genre forward you never forget the classics. Plus punting ragdolls all over the place will never not be fun.

by and large an improvement over the original and almost as engrossing. Its very fun to build yourself up from a nameless bandit hunter to controlling a dynasty and managing your kingdom and the QOL improvements help a lot. Suffers from a lack of the mod community the first game had and more than a few systems don't feel fully fleshed out. Still, the inclusion of an actual story mode with objectives to push you forward does make the experience more compelling. With time this will probably be almost as good as the original.
