I haven't played racing games in some years and was astonished how many cars, how many races etc. this game offers. This literally has more car manufacturers than the old games that I used to play had cars. The open world is beautiful and the cars responsive.

The only things I hate about this game are the non skippable cutscenes and the super loud intro sounds which you can also not skip or turn down in volume.

A minor gripe is that it relies on microsoft accounts for the matchmaking.

This game grows with your own music collection and this is where its strength lies. It suits every taste in music and is a lot of fun, whether you are listening to prog, rock, pop, blues, jazz, folk or whatever else. Sure, the animations are a bit overwhelming at first and it takes skill not to die on the hardest difficulties but the fun factor is immense.
After over 50 hours of playing this game I fully recommend it for music and arcade fans with good reflexes and no tendency for seizures.
