Super good imo, there are alot of bugs but they are minor i haven't ran into anything game breaking or so annoying that i can't keep going. It's a confusing start, but starts making sense a little bit into the main story. combat IS difficult at times but only because its supposed to be. alot of survival elements and resources are scarce when first starting but other than that. i'd give it a 8/10 for story, 10/10 for enviroment, 7/10 for enemies and 7/10 for combat overall i think its a solid 8/10

TLDR:
Do you like left for dead? do you like zombies? How about playing co-op? cool.
Do you like Brain dead A.I? Do you like Cross-Play? How about BS RNG? Great.
Do you like active Devs? Do you like questionable balancing? Do you like choices? Awesome! this game is for you then.
LONGER VERSION:
On the hole it's a very good game, and worth the 60 dollar price tag, BUT ONLY if you enjoy rerunning levels. most of the enjoyment that comes out of this is the fact that each play through you won't get the exact same run, and that you can tune what is called a "deck" to your play style. As with anything that has stats and numbers there are meta's for the game but you can totally ignore them if you don't want to play on the hardest difficulty. you can try playing on Nightmare ignoring meta builds or strategy, but you're not going to have a smooth ride.
Three difficulties, Recruit, Veteran, and Nightmare. with the going logic of Easy, Normal, and Hard. but Pre-Patch it was more like Normal, Hard, seemingly impossibly Hard. Post-Patch it seems recruit is still Normal, Veteran is Normal+, not hard per-say but definitely not for first timers, you really should play recruit and build a good deck before doing Veteran, and Nightmare is now just Hard+ not as impossible. you will die a lot and you will NEED coordination with your teammates for you to succeed.
There are skins in the game but no RWT to get them, you earn them by completing missions and collecting supply points, and the Hub world you can trade the points for skins, cards for you decks, sprays and something like progression, it is possible to "beat" the game.
Admittedly I have played the versus mode very little, the few times I did play it was fun and I enjoyed.
Numeric score:
9/10 with multiple friends
8/10 with a couple of friends
7/10 with no friends

I strongly suggest this game. I was put off by the rumors of glitches, like game breaking glitches. but so far I've not seen any that have ruined my determination to continue to play Outward. I've done nothing but co-op even from day 1 and even with latency issues being over the internet the game ruins perfectly with maxed out quality and details. My friend and I are both hooked on this game like its a drug and a good kind at that.
