I have not yet finished the story. But I love everything about this game so far.
The class system has tons of depth, allowing you to combine just about anything you want quite freely, somewhat reminiscent of the FF5 job system. The combat is great, and feels very interactive, the ship combat also being a nice diversion as well. The world feels very alive, and is super fun to explore, having lots of neat little hidden things all over the place. And the soundtrack is very good, seeming to take inspiration from lots of classic JRPGs, which feels familiar in a very good way.

Early Access Review
Never have I seen an update as game-changing as Between Heaven and Hell.

Tiny Rogues was already pretty good pre-update, but the improvements and additions added in this single update, for me it cements this game as one of the best rogue-lites released since Gungeon.
And to think we still have so many updates to go, I can only imagine what heights this game will reach in the end.

Tiny Rogues is absolutely worth your time if you love the genre. It's endlessly re-playable, has tons of build diversity, some unique reinventions of mechanics that I have yet to see in the genre, possibly the best implementation of meta-progression I've seen yet, and a clear love for all of the game's inspirations. It is a 10/10 Rogue-lite.

I want to like this, but this is just not a finished game. It feels like something made in a week. It's the buggiest game I have ever seen. Constant UI, and camera issues. Actions that seem to break at random... I only played under half an hour, and I encountered at least 5 major glitches that affect gameplay negatively before even reaching the combat tutorial. I sincerely wish luck to the dev, but this should not have been released yet. I hope this game gets the fixes it needs one day. But for now, it's not worth it.

Gameplay is very slow.
Feels like i'm waiting forever for anything to happen, because enemies have to go down such a long path.
This would be fine if there were thing to do while waiting, but you get upgrades and money at such a slow rate that you don't really get to make any interesting decisions until pretty late into a run,
And I really don't think the player should have to wait through 10 minutes of nothing just for things to start happening.

This more of a neutral review.
The original game, and Rebirth are great. Afterbirth (Not Afterbirth+) is also decent.
But DO NOT get Afterbirth+, or Repentance.

This used to be my favorite game of all time.
But sadly the game has been made significantly worse over the years through the DLCs.
Huge nerfs to items already in the game, shops, the devil room, and many other things have removed a lot of the magic from the game. A game that used to just be dumb fun, and breaking the game has become something else entirely. Everything is balls hard now. (It was already decently difficult before.)

That's not to say I think difficult games are bad, but completely rebalancing a game that people love from the ground up, and that has been out for years is a betrayal to it's community. All of the people buying the game with it's DLCs will no longer experience it's best moments. Finding Brimstone, or Mom's Knife for the first time? Finding some busted synergy you've never seen before? None of this is very exciting anymore. These moments are now very watered down.

If you want to play this game, do yourself a favor and get the base game by itself.
And if you want experience the content from Repentance, just play the Antibirth mod instead. Repentance is just a watered down version of Antibirth that has been made official.

This is easily the best software I've seen for creating pixel art. Not only does it have a lot of really nice features, but they're all very easy to use, and the interface is very concise.

This might possibly be my favorite roguelite.
I love being able to insert my friends into the game, and randomly come across them on the road.
No matter how much I play this game, the ridiculous situations it puts my characters in always manages to make me laugh.

I really like the unique battle system this game offers. The 'metroidvania' aspect of it also sets it apart a lot from other monster taming games. It's also very well balanced. Every monster seems to be viable in some combination.

~~Also This game helps me cope with the fact that Pokemon will never be good again.~~

I have nearly 200 hours in this game.
I think that says a lot.
It is, by far, one of my favorite games of all time.
