The artstyle is cute, the jokes and references don't feel the need to beat you over the head to 'get' them, and the gameplay is something you can quietly, pleasantly zen out with while not feeling like each task is just another brain dead process you have to slog through. Love it. <3

Super easy to pick up and play, and a fun way to test/develop your social engineering skills.
More customizable controls would be nice, but are by no means vital to such simple gameplay.

Christine Love is nutty as hell... but credit where it's due: The woman can write. The level of characterization in this game is wonderful, as well as the blending of various themes (some of which she's known for in her other games. Speaking of which, she clearly did her homework on some of the stuff she used to build the game's world, however small it may be.

Raide's art shines, as well. Not much to say here. You'll know from screenshots whether it's your thing or not. I love it, personally.

If you buy in, be prepared to do a lot of reading. Most visual novel fans are no stranger to this, but the amount of sheer walls of verbosity in this game took me by surprise, and I've played quite a few VNs in my time.

This is a pretty short game. I wouldn't say it's worth full price, but catch it on sale and it's easily a good buy. Love is clearly improving, and I hope to see more from her here on Steam... or anywhere, really.

An overall excellent game, if you're familiar with soccer/football/whatever. It can be a little overwhelming, at times, in terms of sheer information overload -- at least until you get the hang of what needs your attention and what can generally be ignored -- and you WILL cry tears of blood when attempting to gain competence with the interface. Absolutely worth the pain, though.

Maybe I'm a slow learner but, speaking from personal experience, the game is HARD. Seriously. It's pretty unforgiving. It's also pretty hands-off in terms of actual gameplay, so most folks raised on Madden and whatnot are probably going to want to stick to their usual flavor of sports games.

One more thing worth noting: This game has very nearly NO sound. NONE. AT ALL. Not even button clicks. The only audio present is the EXTREMELY annoying (and noticeably short) 'cheering crowd' loop. Do yourself a favor and disable sounds altogether, and just put on some fitting tunes of your choice.

Neither as bad, nor as difficult as it has the potential to be. The play mechanics make it fun, the music is pretty good, and -- holy crap -- the voice acting doesn't suck! The writing is a little uninspired and the tongue-in-cheek moments try a bit too hard, to no avail, to save it. Still, interesting how a different spin on the usual formula not only takes a bit of the bite out of the ol' RPG grind, but makes it enjoyable... which is good. Because, really, level grinding is just about all there is to this game.
