This one suffers from an excess of particularly unbearable characters and gimmicky minigames, but the main story remains solid. I also think most of the aversion to the ending is misguided. It was compelling, it had something to say, and it's admirable that they went for it at all.

This game deserves more love. Almost every feature here stands out as an improvement over the original, and I say that as a big fan of Zeno Clash.

- The combat remains punchy but carries a stronger style. It's got this frenetic, almost anime-like energy now. The amount of fighting stances and special moves is impressive too. They didn't have to add as many as they did, so I suspect this was done more as a labour of love than a necessity.

- The trademark wacky visuals looks better than ever, thanks in no small part to the new hatching style. I like how the colours pop and, as always, there are lots of grotesque creature designs that leave me admiring the creativity of ACE Team's art department.

- The characters and dialogue are considerably more accessible and coherent than the original games. Don't get me wrong: it's still all inherently weird, but it feels more purposeful this time.

- The "grumpy old man begrudgingly protects special child" storyline has obviously been done countless times before, but I think its adequate here. A contributing factor to this is the voice acting, which was undeniably an issue in previous games, but is now actually a highlight in some cases.

- The surrounding world and history of Zenozoik are naturally expanded upon here. I won't spoil anything, but this is a Zeno Clash game. It's a different story taking place much earlier, but it doesn't feel disconnected or like a irrelevant side quest as some spin-offs do.

- The music is great as per usual. Exciting. Zany. Emotional. Can't really say if it's better or worse, but it does perhaps hold more range here.

The only thing I really lament is the lack of a fast travel system. This did work during the couple of story sections where Pseudo had to travel across the map in moments of crisis, carried along by the fantastic soundtrack. However, at any other time, you really should not be forced to manually walk from zone to zone if you don't want to. It becomes a punishment, even with the beautiful environment around you. The addition of a simple click-and-teleport system could've easily fixed this. Other than that, I've got no major complaints. Solid game!

After playing through every episode, I can confidently say this is a solid story with a wildly infectious personality. Almost every aspect shines. The art style, the voice acting, the characters, the gameplay segments, the humour, the soundtrack—they all click together to create a charming superhero romp that’s unafraid to be both silly and serious.

Looking forward to seeing more from AdHoc, because man, I've really missed the old Telltale format!

A nifty little game that can get ludicrously difficult through randomisation. Thankfully, I enjoy those situations where I'm surrounded and totally doomed but forced to keep fighting anyway. Whether I pull through or get munched on, it usually provokes a fun emotional response from me since this game is surprisingly absorbing.

One thing, though—consider adding workshop support if possible. I feel like that would be crazy fun.

This game and its predecessor are the two best single-player experiences I've ever had, and I doubt they'll be beat anytime soon.

My only wish is that Naughty Dog will finish The Last of Us as a trilogy someday, and not in a way that appeases all the people who hated on it on release (as they sadly did with the show). Then I can die happy.

Much less poker-centric than you might expect. Don't be scared to try Balatro if you, like me, aren't too familiar with card games. It's not necessary to have much prior understanding. The only knowledge I had was a few hours on Poker Night at the Inventory, if that tells you anything.

Very luck-based, so it can be devastatingly soul-crushing at times, disturbingly intoxicating at others. The visual style is awesome, being drip-fed new cards is better than hard drugs, and the game is fun to learn. Certainly deserves all the praise!

My favourite of the Resident Evil remasters so far. Exciting combat, tight gunplay, stellar characters and incredible sound design. An easy recommendation!

An incredible series of games, uneven in quality but great nonetheless. Overall, one of the most compelling stories I've ever had the pleasure of playing through. I've replayed it countless times and I imagine I'll revisit it routinely for the foreseeable future because it stands strong even after all this time.

If you haven't experienced these games yet, please do yourself a favour and try them out. It's hard not love this series.
