The city of this game is beautiful and well designed and fits with the gritty theme of the game and the music is fantastic to set the mood. Sadly after that it all falls down a bit.

The driving physics are good enough but the controls need tightening up a bit to make things feel a bit more cohesive especially when it comes to takedown missions where you have to take out an enemy vehicle by crashing into it, even after the recent patch multiple tiems when hitting the target car they will take no damage while yours takes huge damage seemingly at random.

The fighting on foot is lacklustre and is a nightmare when multiple enemies gang up on you. There's very little feel for what's going on and then an enemy will just hit you from an impossible distance.

These are all just things that could be improved over time with some updates but the main problem is that after a few missions the game starts feeling incredibly repetitive but without the missions being particularly fun.

Fingers crossed this game improves over time but I'm cutting my losses while still in the refund window.

Silly, simple, and very fun. It's not a deep game and the mechanics won't challenge you but if you're into silly humour then you'll enjoy this.

There's potential there but the racing and balancing is absolutely miserable. Rather than being a fun way to earn money and progress through the game the racing against AI is just frustrating.

The game kindly decides what difficulty of AI it's going to put you up against and those difficulty levels are incredibly inconsistent with them being able to take corners at insane speeds and also just easily push you off line if you're in the way. There is no way of changing the difficulty in order to make the racing less of a beat down and somewhat enjoyable so you just have to put up with it.

The balancing of cars is so clearly biased towards four wheel drive cars and combined with the aforementioned AI there are only a handful of cars in the game that are worth buying because if you buy the one you wanted and upgrade it, the AI will just bash you out of the way with some ridiculous all wheel drive car that has a lower performance figure than you yet somehow has better handling, acceleration, top speed, and braking.

This is posted following the major patch which was supposed to fix most of these problems and that in itself was a mess with the servers still being only somewhat operational 12 hours after the initial maintenance window of "a few hours".

On the plus side the exploration is fun but short lived. Once you've done all the free roam things you're forced back into miserable races against AI as the servers are too unstable or empty that I've yet to experience a single multiplayer race in almost a month.

In summary, it's an unbalanced mess where the core experience is frustrating. The devs only seem to double down on their decisions or just ignore any criticism so don't expect that to change any time soon. Maybe give it a try in a few months but stay clear for now.
