South of Midnight is a game with a good story and somewhat lackluster gameplay, overwhelmingly improved by its outstanding soundtrack and great setting. A refreshing break from the sometimes monotonous feel of other titles, I would recommend this game to anyone looking for a simpler
platforming game with a bit of an emotional kick.

A well written and engaging story; fun, fast paced combat; a setting that excellently captures the aesthetics of it's predecessor.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 is a 'good' title that is unquestionably held back by the thought of what a 'great' title it was supposed to be.
Years of anticipation and hype have given way to disappointment and anger. But I do not think that it is the fault of the developers. Had the publisher been more straightforward
in marketing what the game actually WAS, instead of letting early anticipation and confusion about the change in developers fester people would be less hung up on what this game 'isn't' and would be able to see this game for what it 'is';
a fun, moody, bloody, suspenseful tale told through the lens of the Vampire the Masquerade franchise. For anyone who can look past that initial disappointment, I would still happily recommend this game.

Blade and Sorcery is one of if not the most popular Virtual Reality titles on steam, and it isn't hard to see why. Procedurally generated maps help keep the levels fresh and interesting, while the game's freedom of movement allows for multiple ways to proceed to the objective. Added together with the ragdoll physics and a semi-competent enemy AI, this game is sure to get your heart-rate up in more ways than one.

A solid sequel to a fantastic story, albeit with a few technical hiccups. Visually stunning and with plenty of challenges to be found, Jedi: Survivor is a fantastic entry into what is becoming an incredible saga!

Yoku's Island Express is a cute game with quite an interesting makeup; Part metroidvania, part pinball. While parts of the game can be frustratingly challenging at times (especially for people like me who are honestly not so good at pinball), the tropical soundtrack does a phenomenal job of keeping the fun going. I am confident that this game would fit well into a challenge-based collection for all ages.

With today's market being plagued with what may seem to be an
overabundance of "soulless" sequels, it pleases me greatly to say
that Psychonauts 2 is not one of them! This time around the gameplay
is just as wacky and the story is just as fun and even more heartfelt
than its predecessor, with several nice twists to boot. I am quite
sure that this game will make a great addition to most collections.

A title that skyrocketed into my our personal favorites, 'It takes two' is almost something else entirely! A simple yet expertly crafted narrative woven in with some of the most interesting visuals and platform gameplay I've seen this year; flaws are hard to find in this masterpiece of a game. I wholeheartedly recommend that everyone find someone to enjoy this title with.

I write this both as a review for the game itself, and as a statement I feel needs to be said about the developer.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a fantastic game; marred by public opinion well beyond what I feel is justified. The setting is near perfect, both in regards to its design and its aesthetic. The characters are alive (the main characters anyway) in their reactions and motivations. The music is top notch. All of these things pale in comparison to its narrative however, which is arguably one of the best stories I have seen in recent years.

This game however, was not ready for release. It was without exaggeration, broken. Bugs and glitches plauged many player's experience, sometimes stopping it dead in the water.
However, many of those flaws on PC have been addressed and, much more importantly, CDPR have shown us that they are trying to fix things.

As things are, there are too many game developers today who flout the artform; who intentionally release products only mostly finished, and worse, make little to no effort to repair what is broken.

While the launch of this game was about as far from perfect as one could get, I feel the game itself still has merit, still has a soul. Should CDPR continue on their current course, I feel that Cyberpunk 2077 could still become something great.

Edit 11/28/2021: While it still has some work to be done, Cyberpunk 2077 is in a much more stable state than it was last year. I can now wholeheartedly recommend this game to anyone with a moderately decent PC.

Life is Strange... what can I say? This title will rip out your heart and bring you to your knees, all the while making you grateful for the opportunity to experience it. With one of the best fitting soundtracks of any game I have ever played, grafted in perfectly to the narrative; I can only say so much (and yet still fall short) in praise of this game.

Carrion is quite an entertaining (if a bit overly straightforward) title.
While the AI won't be providing much real difficulty to hardcore
players; it nevertheless succeeds in providing several hours of
bloody fun to fans of the reverse horror genre!
