Alright ladies and gents.. Let me give you my take on this jaunt.

This game is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. Hopefully if you read this - I expect that you have played H1Z1 or atleast know how that game works. H1Z1 being the main competetor with Playerunknown Battlegrounds.

I will start with my dislikes of Playerunknown Battlegrounds (PUBG)
(Note: this game IS EARLY ACCESS: BUGS/OPTIMIZATION ISSUES ARE RELEVANT HERE)

- PUBG definately has it's flaws when it comes to Optimization & Performance. Even the most up to date PCs (im talking a 1080 GPU) struggle to substain 60 fps on high/ultra settings in most areas around the game. (We're talking 30-45 fps at best) Running the game on Medium graphics is enjoyable and gets the job done. Give it time, they are working on optimization.

- I appreciate how rare med kits are in this game (Med kits, which heal 100% of your health NOT first aid kits) but I don't see why the bandages only allow you to heal up to 75% of your health. :/ The healing in H1Z1 is a lot better IMO. I think bandages and first aid kits should be allowed to get you back to 100%.

PUBG is having HUGE success and I hope they can better optimize their game quickly so more people can purchase the game and enjoy with good frame rate. No 1080 should be taxed like it is here.

Lets go to the LIKES of PUBG:

- This game is tactical as ♥♥♥♥. You can't sprint towards people and jump around the corner with a shotgun like you can in H1Z1, first of all, you can't jump and shoot like an idiot because that isn't realistic. The slower pace - take your moment tactical player will have more fun and will win more games.

- The Compass and Map being pinned on the HUD is a must have for battle royal games. PUBG does a fantastic job here. The compass on H1 is on the top right corner, looks out of place, and no map on the screen. The map also shows you exactly where your character is in relation to everything around you. H1Z1 highlights the cordinate (H4) for example. Not a very good system for this style of game.

- The customization of weapons is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ great! Like I mentioned above, the strategic, tactical player WILL MOST LIKELY WIN! Do you want an automatic shotgun with a supressor? Sure! How about a sniper with a surpressor? Sure! Favor more accuracy and instead use the flash hider over the supressor to engage in a long range fight? You got it. H1Z1 lacks here but PUBG does a beautiful job. One game you might have a kar98k sniper, but are left with a 2x scope. The next game you could have the Kar98k with a 15x scope! Your gameplay changes based on the attachments of what you can find.

Now, I run this game using a 760 GPU. This card is a good bit outdated so I lowered my settings to the lowest to get the best frames I can get. I can get about 60-80 in towns. The island you spawn on has a lot of shananigans going on and it really taxes my computer. But, that's okay.

Hopefully if you got this far, you learned something about this game - If your computer can run it, I highly suggest picking it up. This game is fantastic to play solo or with a group of buddies. Vehicles are more common here (over H1) and make the game so much fun with friends. And if you CAN'T run this game, stick around, watch for updates. They are working on it. :)
