Addictive

3d Factorio without the autism needed to make Factorio work. I love this game so much and love the devs! Highly recommend buying the game if you like the idea of an open world factory builder with minor sub elements of exploration (unfinished) and combat (recently overhauled but still fairly basic). The design of the game is easy enough to start, but hard enough to master such that you will have the desire to build more and more factories (new games) to try and finish optimizing your production strategies!

Yeah this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ review but I have to put some text for the positive review post, and might as well tell you some of the truth of the game instead of those spam messages like 'oH lOoK aT tHiS cAt, PlEaSe UpVoTe'

Exact same game as last several far cry games but with a new paint, not worth if you've played the previous ones and even if you haven't they are probably cheaper and still 99% similar.

Behold, Elden Ring! Therefore, offer pickle.

There's a lot to love about this game:
-it's free
-has lots of vehicles and eras
-can be fun

BUT
It also has a lot of downsides
-UNBELIEVABLY grindy
--> like tanks are hard enough, it's balanced towards buying a premium account subscription (which is hella expensive), but other vehicles are downright unfair to grind. Aircraft of any kind suck to research at anything above 5.0 (about halfway up the tech tree) and helicopters just get next to no research. They have the same scaling as tanks for xp without the equivalent ability to actually gain that xp during matches. So a tank and vehicle at the same rank, the tank will take 1/3 of the time to grind out while most of your aircraft grinding will just be flying with nothing else to do. I guess watching youtube while playing occupies the many hours it takes but at that point why even play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game at all.
-Often falls into rut of trying for the next vehicle in a cycle that just makes the game not fun, so you struggle to enjoy the game and only 1/10 games feels satisfying, which equates to several hours of playing for the smallest hit of dopamine.

So then why recommend at all?
Well it's free and it does offer a plethora of content. The grind sucks. A lot. But it does force you to enjoy each step of the process and while it can be hard to swallow the process itself, it is still a net positive experience. That said, if you have anything else built up in your backlog of games to play do those first because this probably won't be as rewarding as those. But when you've got nothing else to do? It's not bad.

I have enjoyed the game and it offers a fun experience to manage nations on several levels during World War Two along with robust modding communities, but it is heavily built around the many dlc that the game also sells and the base experience kind of sucks. I have the dlc, and enjoy the game, but realistically the price of the game is FAR higher than just buying the game because of how unplayable it can be without the basic features of the dlc.
