A masterpiece of a game. Absolutely amazing attention to detail. 100% recommended. It's now one of my favourite games, probably.

Where to start. The game feels very arcade-y. The way the spacecraft move feels a lot like the battlefield games. It feels as though the ship is going on rails. There really is no excuse for such a gameplay mechanic when there are other games like Elite Dangerous out there, kicking ass with the way they implement VR + spaceflight. I'm very disappointed and I can't bring myself to play Squadrons right now.

Keybindings are a pain in the ass to setup in a Hotas. There are no pre-made keybindings for any popular joystick out there. You know what's completely unacceptable? Prompting the message "Press () to repair your ship". Then not allowing me to even press ESC to go to options and assign a button to it, since I currently don't have a keybinding for it. The whole thing locks up! I have to ALT+F4 out of the game.

Performance wise, the game was stuttering even in low graphics settings, and my PC specs are above Recommended VR specs. My PC specs:

VR - Oculus Rift S
RTX2080, Ryzen 3700x, 16GB RAM.
T-Flight Hotas X Joystick

As it stands, I'm extremely disappointed and I feel like we've been deceived by the reviewers before the release. I might give it a shot in the future if the developers make some changes, but knowing it's an EA title, I don't have high hopes. I wish I could recommend the game, I really wanted to like it. But as of now, I can't recommend the game to anyone looking for a decent space combat game.

Game is absolutely gorgeous, the story is very compelling and the gameplay was engaging enough. HOWEVER, it seems like there's a very persistent bug where the game crashes every 10-15 minutes with the error message "VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST". It seems like this error has been around since 2019, but no concrete solution has been published. Unfortunately I've had to return the game as it was unplayable beyond a couple hours.

Great VR implementation. Although the game itself isn't well optimized as far as I understand, the VR implementation is very good.

Even though I've played this game for less than an hour (for now), I have to say that this is one of the most immersive, scary and well made VR games I've ever played. The implementation is fantastic, and you seriously feel like you're a part of the story. I would congratulate anyone who's worked on this game on by one if I had the chance, this game is fantastic so far.

Fantastic little game if you enjoy chill city building games. It's still in Early Access and you can see it in the menu items that miss descriptions and details like that. However I didn't encounter any bugs or technical issues.

The game misses any real danger, such as enemy factions or even the environment. So the game is all about slowly developing a peaceful town in an organic environment where the town develops naturally. I can see my self playing this game more and more while watching something on my 2nd screen.

Fantastic game which reflects the scale of the battlefield in a very unique way. The semi-realistic combat gameplay brings out a unique experience, and makes you feel vulnerable. Amazing game, 10/10 recommended.

Honestly, one of the best games I've played in the recent years. Bought a HOTAS Joystick for it, and that improved the experience ten fold. Now I've ordered a VR headset and I have very high expectations that will likely be met.

That said, it's not a game for everyone. The learning curve is high, and can put off many players. Overall, for me, the game is a 10/10.

EDIT: The game is infinitely better with a VR headset. The rush I get from being actually inside the ship is unlike any other game. Simply a masterpiece.

Never thought I'd enjoy a game like this, but once you get things going it's amazing. Super fun, immersive and satisfying to play. It never gets dull as every map is a new challenge.
