There's something that's so endearing to play a literal villain/anti-villain archetype that is a living, breathing imagination of a vampire that you'd see get portrayed in an over-the-top graphic novel. The voice lines are so unapologetically corny and self aware which creates a consistent and riffable style to the game's dialog. The art direction of this game is spot on and maintains a wonderful consistency across every biome you run across while still maintaining each area's unique aesthetic.

At the risk of sounding reductive, this game has a loop that'd gel well with people who are fans of Diablo III, Valheim, and Terraria. Making unique builds is extremely accessible and doesn't require hours of theory crafting to make work; all the skills and passives feel surprisingly balanced, though some builds may require a bit more time invested to make work than others.

A majority of the bosses are fairly challenging in Brutal difficulty, but my main complaint is that there are still some that are still too easy, despite having pretty interesting mechanics. I wish the game gets a bit more challenging with further development, but otherwise I'd personally give this a 9/10 in its own category.

Don't support devs who use generative AI for marketing material. Pay your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ artists.

It's good. The weapons and fights feel awesome. The narrative is shlocky but I think Capcom needs to continue leaning into that same direction for future titles. Performance was pretty rough for the Black Flame fight, but otherwise I've had a stable 55-70fps on an ultrawide monitor with a gtx2070. I highly recommend updating your GPU drivers before playing this!

Incredible co-op experience, Servers are a bit rocky at launch but if you enjoy games like Left 4 Dead, DRG, or anything even remotely similar, you're gonna have a great time. Making builds and filling in archetypes is super rewarding and fun to play with. Give the servers a bit of time to smooth over and it'll be a perfect 10/10 coop experience. Some people have beef with the kernel-level anti cheat but if it means less cheaters or people who can brick your save, the better.

It's literally just a good d&d campaign. Love it.

Okay mechanics with punishingly boring exploration and the shallowest characters you've ever seen. Don't bother.
