Probably my favorite puzzle game to boot. It has a great way of playing with your expectations. Puzzle games usually don't grab me as much as this one did.

One of the better roguelikes on steam right now. What seems like a gimmick is woven perfectly into every aspect of the game. If you like roguelikes, rhythm based games, or want something you can pick up cheap, It's an easy buy.

It's hard to say whether or not to reccomend this game. I personally want to like this game more than I do. The aesthetic of the whole game, from the heroes to the sound design is wonderful. The stress mechanic and traits are interesting, and add to the feeling of dread that permeates the whole game. I do think however, the gameplay is somewhat subpar. I find myself coming back to this game every few months because I really do want to like it, but it is just so repetitive. This game lacks that itch that makes something like XCOM feel so satisfying. That isn't to say I haven't had fun with the game, but more that I am probably never going to finish it, I'll just keep coming back and remembering why I left in the first place.

Regardless of it's flaws I wouldn't say it's a bad game by any means. Just a repetitive one. It's a game I wish I loved a whole lot more than I do.

For all my friends who got the Binding of Isaac for .99 cents and never played it: This game is a lot more polished and is really pretty great
