Man of Our Times is about chad, who society adores instead of Duke. Heathaze is about Duke being lonely, another obvious meaning. Turn it on Again is about Duke trying to pick his life back up, but fails. Alone Tonight is extremely obvious. Cul-de-sac is about people being creeped out by Duke simply trying to exercise to improve himself by walking.
Please Don't Ask is about Duke wishing people would not talk about his face. Duke’s travels is about him running away from a society that hated him for his face. Duke's End is about him inevitability committing suicide due to his face. These are some reasons why Duke is one of my favorite Genesis albums.
This is the real Duke.
This is why Duke is the best Genesis album.
Misunderstanding is the incel theme song and I love it.

Genesis does not want you to know the real meaning of Duke, as that would not be the best look for their band and an audience they want to present themselves best to.
Behind the Lines is about being lonely because Duke tries to stay inside all day to avoid people due to his face, Duchess is Duke dreaming about the girl he wish he had, who has problems too but nothing that will ever compare to what Duke will go through for his entire life. Duke views the girl as ungrateful because of it. Guide vocal is about Duke trying to find solutions to his inceldom, but just like vocalization, the information can only speak to you and can never physically help you. Basically, the solutions he tries do not work for him.

Contrary to what most people may believe, the meaning of Genesis' album Duke is deeper than the meaning any album could have. The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is about a chad named Rael who mogs but still has issues nonetheless. Duke however, tells the story of an incel whose name is the album name, and this is his story. Duke on the cover looks out the window, wishing and hoping about the life he wish he had, taken away from him due to his face. You see, the fact that he is a cartoon illustration hides the fact that in reality, he is closer to being malformed. You never see a front view of Duke, ever, only his side. Misunderstanding is a very obvious reference to what he goes through daily, albeit an exception to the usual daily routine, where a virtue signaling girlfriend zones him after ghosting him to go out with chad instead.
