As opposed to normal mystery games, this game technically refuses to end. To me that was a selling point, this game is a whole odyssey to go through.

This game is Challenging, Gritty, and heavily requires a sense of resourcefulness, you are a detective within this tech noir dystopian city. You will come face to face with the local police on occasion and see to figuring out strategies for dodging detection by any means necessary. Whether that's going on the offensive and knocking out a target before they reach the alarm or using placed traps to lure and stun possible suspects. There is a good bit of variety and possible use cases for the player's kit.

From snares in the form of "Less-Than-Lethal" grenades/mines to using applying a motion sensor to a building to determine if a tenet is back from their shift at their respective workplace. If you have a strategy, there's most likely a way to accomplish it.

Sync-Clinic mods will help you heavily through your journey to retirement. One of the most helpful possible for the kind of game this is, is the Sync-Mod that provides additional analysis... Makes the game a little too easy.

Game mostly ran smooth on my machine, mostly without a hitch prior to one of the recent updates that improved culling. Now it runs really, really well!

This game was really, REALLY intricate and fun. Great addition to any library!

Now I don't know about you, but when I peruse the Steam Store, I usually avoid isometric games at all costs. It just seems bland and vastly over-saturated, this is the only game that is isometric that I would honestly sincerely recommend. It's truly great.

Base game is pretty good, extreme depth in mechanics, and such. This game has it's own theory for optimizing characters which is really cool. Though it's part of the design philosophy, the game doesn't have an actual end. Very brutal difficulty for those unprepared. The game goes on until your character dies. That's the end as implied in the beginning of each run's monologue "This is how you died".

Difficulty is no joke as i said, if your character suffers a bite in one of the default modes, your character is marked for death, and its just a ticking timebomb, waiting to die or turn into a zombie, which usually is the same result.

It gives you the inspiration for special goals and achievements that you personally want to make it to as a player instead of otherwise. Like say, kill at least 100 zombies on one character, survive at least 6 (in-game) months as one character, survive at least 2 months during full utility shut-off, attain max level in X skill. etc.

Main complaints with the game is that at base, considering it's rogue-like, the game has very sluggish EXP goals. 1.0 multiplier feels like real-time training of skills how slow it is. Now that I think about it, even 4.0 still felt slow. Something I feel like should be a already implemented thing is either the helicopter event has a chance of indicating an extraction or otherwise (an actually satisfying end). Instead of just trying to screw over the player in any way possible.... Just a mod idea really, anyway.

If you include mods into the mix, this game is just nigh of flawless! The customization that guns are allowed with it can massively improve your chances of survival. Allows the player to become a lot more deadly and adjust the game to a perfect balance of settings.

If you are looking for climbing, look for a game with more content. This game was really cool back in 2018 when I first got my VR headset, but now that I have had it for a little bit, there is *no* reason to buy this game anymore.

This is a fantastic successor to BONEWORKS.For a game that was all about being super "indev" looking intentionally, from using indev textures and so on to having a great deal of time take to make sure custom content works flawlessly with the game. The previous game was already pushing the bounds in terms of what you could do. This SHATTERS that, however the game will feel sort of short in comparison to BONEWORKS. Due to mechanics working a slight bit differently.Primarily, you no longer need to collect ammunition for purchasing weapons at the beginning of some levels.Knowing the devs, there is a fairly good chance that a giant bundle of extra content is planned for this highly advanced game.I have only one issue, the game takes a large amount of time to load, nothing new though.(Amendment to the previous information on this game)This game was supported but now it is no longer working on my hardware, and I have been looking into fixes for it, but nothing seems to be working. I can no longer recommend this product as I can't play the game anymore. If anyone has any suggested fixes for me to make this game work again, I would like to see them under this review in the comments.Issue as I have encountered ; the game crashes SteamVR upon trying to load it up. "SteamVR has experienced a critical error."

Although I don't like games that seem to depend heavily on luck, this game's theme, underlying story and intricate gameplay functions made this into a new favorite.

The story is not direct, but entirely is based on biblical stories, everything is at least loosely rooted in religion, from underlying theme or direct reference to the real world. In fact one of the strongest items in the roster is actually "Sacred Heart", a common depiction of Jesus' suffering as a symbol. However, this isn't your typical ♥♥♥♥♥♥ free-ware christian game, this is a fully fleshed out roguelike with a lot of time required to fully complete.

Simple but incredibly effective. So many items in the entire game that you may never have a run that is the same as the last.

This got me HOOKED onto roguelikes.

This is a fantastic game to attempt and complete.

Being a roguelike, every single attempt is different. In your journey through each run, you can encounter enemies that can revive, and weapons that are exceptionally useful. All of the said weapons feel exactly as strong as each other, difference in range and damage-patterns, for example my person opinion on the worst weapon is probably the railgun, requires holding down fire to charge.

All while also being horror, something that combines fantastically with roguelike. Roguelike Horror make for each encounter being about as scary as the last, especially with sometimes an entire onslaught attacking at once.

Extremely strong choice for a game to play, but however, the game itself is pretty short-lived if you aim to play for achieving getting to the end.

I urge you as the reader to play this one, if you have VR.

Speaking as a person with a great deal of understanding for VR and it's intricacies; this is a bit of a let down, especially since you are anchored to a single spot.

Style is nice.

Gameplay is great for those who are getting into VR, if you are easily motion sick from VR. I have never felt that feeling in VR.

Longevity is what I usually look for in games, this doesn't have the playtime to really warrant it's price and other games do it's primary mechanic better. If you want one-shot kill for both you and the enemy, I will give it that, but that's not what I would like to play.

3/10, miles better as a desktop game. Modding is probably way better/easier too.

I could just recommend this on the 80's SciFi look alone. Development Period took place between the 2 years used in the original Tabletop RPG, 2013-2020. How about that? This is a pretty faithful title to it's original roots. I know that R. Talsorian Games is proud to have CD Projekt RED work on their IP.

I recommend for the memes, but chances are if you are like me you will get pissed at how it feels to get killed by a quintuple fainting maul-user. The strongest (by damage) item in the game. It's not a matter of developers, frankly it's actually my lack of skill.
This game is incredibly hard to master, let alone learn. I tend to pick up games really quickly, but these sort of First Person Brawlers are really annoying to figure out.
